Wishes.
They are our hope for something better – for a change in life; they are hope itself. They are the single fleck of light in the pit of darkness; the shining stars in the blanket of night. They contain power, for good or worse, that bring happiness or regret. They consist of greed and compassion, friendship and envy, hate and love. Yet-
Everyone has their own wishes.
My wish is a selfish one. My life is a selfish one, actually. But that is beside the point. I sought for the thing to fulfill me, as many other people aim to do in their lives. I felt as though I couldn’t do anything successful in my life. I sought for that something better, that change, that hope. And thus, I began to form a wish. Many things occurred afterwards, and I decided to record them here. Once I finished, I realized something that I thought to be crucially important. Do we really need to wish? Do we really need to have one in the first place?
