There once was a boy, who was born in Atlanta, Georgia. The boy was raised by two loving parents, who treated him very well. He had two brothers and one sister, of whom loved the boy, and the boy loved them back.
The boy always stuck at his mother's side, clinging to her hands when they crossed the road, and cuddling up with her at night.
Soon the boy was growing, and everyday, he went down to the basement with his mother to read, and messed around on the family piano.
In the blink of an eye, the boy was in preschool, being brought there by his loving mother, and waving goodbye as he headed off to class. The boy was very well known when he was little, and had several friends.
Everyday, the mother would grab her boy from preschool, and they'd go out to eat. The boy loved his family.
Soon the boy was in kindergarten, and shes tears as he sat next to his brother, and waved goodbye to his mother. This would be the boy's first day without seeing his mother all the time.
Kindergarten flew by at the speed of light. And soon the boy realized, he didn't fit in with the rest of the crowd. He was smart, got accepted into the gifted program, and found different interests.
The boy didn't like baseball or basketball. He loved singing, and acting. He loved to dance, and let his emotions fly in his writings.
Elementary school went by in a blur, he made and lost friends. Had his ups in downs. But in 4th grade he faced the realization.
The boy was moving.
The boy had to say goodbye to all his friends, and his teachers, and his school. And most importantly, his house.
So many things happened there, so many memories. The boy cried day after day, not wanting to leave.
He begged and pleaded but he soon faced the inevitable, they were moving.
Over the summer, the boy finally moved, and said farewell to his old house. He enjoyed the new one, of course, but it just wasn't home.
The boy enjoyed his summer, either way. Swimming in the pool with his brother and playing games. Soon school came around, and the boy realized.
He'd have to start over.
The first day he went to his new 5th grade class, the boy knew no one. He sat down at his table, and said goodbye to his father. This was it, his new school.
The boy toughed it up, and made new friends, but this was when the boy's life changed.
The boy had been picked on throughout the school year, this was when the boy realized, life was always happy and accepting. Life was cruel, and being different just made it worse.
The boy toughed it up and went on to sixth grade, going into middle school. This was the year the boy's life changed.
The boy was kicked out of the gifted program, and he saw himself as weak, and dumb. The boy was bullied, picked on constantly, but he couldn't keep his emotions inside, so he cried all the time.
The boy hated being different, and every night, before he layed his head down to rest, he'd wonder why he was different, and what the issue was.
Soon, 7th grade came rolling around, and this is when the boy's life got worse. The boy had known he was going to be picked on, but not to this degree.
Everyone would gang up on the boy, and relentlessly beat him, until he found her. The girl with the glasses and dyed hair.
The girl taught the boy that it was okay to be yourself, and that people can't change who you are. The boy and the girl sat down at lunch, and always spoke about their interests, and always had something to say and laugh about. The boy and the girl soon became inseparable.
They always hung out, and the girl was always there for the boy, no matter what the situation.
The boy and the girl always hung out, and always listened to what the other had to say. The boy was grateful, and finally knew what a true friend was.
The boy and the girl would laugh together, cry together, and help each other. They had each other.
But soon, the bullying got bad. The boy became depressed, and it seemed there was no way out of it. That was when the boy realized he wasn't normal. It was always a thought, tugging at the back of his head, "what if I am...gay?" The boy thought and pondered over something he knew nothing about.
The only person he could confess it to was the girl, and the girl nudged it off, because she was a true friend, and she would love him no matter what.
Soon the boys life took a turn for the worse, and the bullying became physical. The girl always stood up for him, but the bullies were ruthless.
Soon the boy found who he wanted to be. The boy walked into chorus, and realized he wanted to do this. That he belonged with these people.
The bullying persisted, and the boy changed schools.
The boy found several friends in his new school, but then the boy found out, he would be moving again.
The boy soon moved away, not far, only 15 minutes, but he would have to say goodbye to his friends at his school.
The summer flew by, nothing eventful happening. Then the boy realized, he was an eighth grader.
The boy walked into his new school, as an eighth grader, and found plenty of friends. The boy rarely found any enemies, and was grateful for that. The boy finally came out, and confessed that he was gay.
The boy knew this would bring hate, but he realized, this was who he was, and nobody can change that.
The boy made several friends, and kept in touch with the girl. The boy joined drama club, and began pursuing his passion.
Soon, the eighth grade year was coming to a close. But the boy realized, that what would now be his best friend, was beside him all along.
The girl who was always reading, the girl who was always singing, the girl who studied every night, and made sure her grades were perfect.
The boy and the girl who read became close, and closer as the school year came to a close. The boy was grateful for his two best friends.
Soon the girl who read would have an issue arise in her life, and the boy took it into his hands to help her anyway he could, because, the boy once learned from a girl, that friends will drop everything for those they love, and will do anything.
The boy and the girl who read hung out all the time. The boy was grateful for the girl who read, and glad they became this close.
The boy finally realized what true friendship was.
This was all thanks to the girl with the glasses, and the girl who read.
I love you guys. Xoxo
