Becca's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring in my ear, I groaned in annoyance as I practically hit it to turn it off. I have been dreading this day for two months, the first day of my Senior Year at High School and let me tell you, I was not looking forward to it. Every Summer day was filled with me and my best friend Sara watching our favourite Youtubers, Jerome Aceti and Mitch Hughes, along with binge watching as many TV shows on Netflix and a few apps that we had as we could. She lived next door so we spent practically every day together. After a moment of just lying there I eventually pried myself from the warm and comfort of my bed to go and get ready for the long day ahead of me.

Once I was ready I was wearing black ripped jeans, a boys black and red basketball tee and my D.M boots. I had a simple white hoodie on over the top to hide the t-shirt, my parents don't approve of me owning 'boys clothing' but the way I see it, clothing is clothing; why does it need to have a label just like everything else in this world? I shoved my oversized black hoodie in my bag for when I get out of the house which was just another item of clothing that my parents didn't approve of. I went down stairs and made myself some toast to eat for breakfast. I had just finished when I heard the door open and watched as Sara made her way into the kitchen. She is so close that she is practically family and she's here so often that she doesn't even bother knocking anymore. Sara looked at me with her signature playful smirk on her face "are you excited for the first day of Senior year?" she asked, sarcasm dripping in her tone. I looked at her and laughed, I shook my head "I don't think I'll ever be ready for school" I said with a short laugh. Sara was unique. She was pretty, her long ginger hair falling to just above her elbows in soft waves, her blue eyes bright and always shining with excitement. She was about a head taller than me but then again, I am a very small human being so it isn't really that hard to tower over me. However, she may be taller but I am stronger and I am constantly giving her piggy backs. She was dressed in a cream blouse, a maroon coloured skirt and a simple denim jacket. Me and her were similar but also completely different. I had short, bright red hair that was cut into a style that looks like Liam's hair from One Direction when it just started and I had brown eyes and glasses, even though I didn't wear them that often. Sara smiled "I'm sure it'll be fine" she reassured me. I sighed "I hope you're right" I mumbled before we headed out the door.

We walked to school at a normal pace, it was only five minutes away on foot and we had twenty-five minutes before school started so we would arrive with plenty of time to spare. Once we were out of sight of my house I traded my white hoodie for my oversized black one, I felt a lot more comfortable in it than I did in the tighter one. We walked along exchanging our views on the new videos that Jerome and Mitch had uploaded last night. I preferred Jerome's videos whereas she preferred Mitch so it worked out pretty well. We worked well as a team and if either of them were given any hate we had our war paint on and our weapons in hand.

We arrived and headed straight to our form room and sat down. We had gotten our schedules in the mail a few days before school started and we were in almost all of the same classes again this year so we were pretty happy. We sat at a table by ourselves at the back of the room knowing no one would bother to come sit with us. I wasn't exactly the most liked person and was generally ignored but I don't really talk to people anyway, I have more friends on the internet than I do in real life. Other than my team mates, I would have good fun with them during sporting events and parties. Sara on the other hand had a few other friends besides me and was quite liked throughout our year group yet somehow has always stuck by me but then again, every straight girl needs her gay best friend.

We looked up as the teacher walked into the room and she was followed by two guys, I'm guessing that they were new if the teacher had brought them in. I heard a few of the girls around us begin to whisper things like "wow, they're cute!" and "oh my God, the one in the red checked hoodie is so hot!" I took a closer look at them and suddenly realised who they were. I nudged Sara in the ribs with my elbow causing her to let out a small squeak as she looked up from her notebook that she was currently doodling in her notebook. She looked up at me with a questioning look on her face. I pointed to the new students and she almost squealed with excitement but I managed to stop her. The teacher cleared her throat to gain everyone's attention "I would like to introduce two new students" began Mrs Harper. We listened carefully in excitement "this is Jerome Aceti and Mitchel Hughes" she told the class. We literally leapt inside but Mitch soon spoke up "it's just Mitch" he said. The class and the teacher nodded "I'll need two students to show then around the school and keep them right, so..." she trailed of and began to scan the room "Rebecca, Sara would you mind?" she asked. We nodded as calmly as we could since we didn't want to seem too excited "sure" we said together with a smile. She nodded and the two guys walked over and sat own opposite us "hey" said Mitch. We smiled "hi" said Sara with a soft red blush colouring her pale cheeks "hey, I'm Becca and this is Sara" I said kindly. They nodded "it's nice to meet you both" said Jerome with a smile on his face.

We soon found out that Mitch and Jerome were in all of our classes with us so that made it pretty easy to show them where all the rooms were. When lunch came around we showed them to the Canteen and to our surprise they sat with us. Normally we would sit alone but sometimes we'll have a few of Sara's other friends sit with us but that didn't happen a lot. Mitch smiled "thanks for showing us around" he said before tucking into his lunch. We smiled "no problem" said Sara with a kind smile. Jerome smiled "so what do you like to do it your free time?" asked Jerome breaking the silence. I watched as Mitch shot him a look as if to say "what kind of question is that?" but he ignored it and turned his attention back to us. We blushed softly "we like to watch Minecraft YouTube videos" Sara said with a smile and I simply nodded in agreement. Mitch smiled "sounds fun" he said before going back to his food. I sighed "we actually like to watch your videos" I mumbled softly. They looked up at us in shock "you watch our videos?" Jerome asked, we nodded "we're quite possibly your biggest fans" Sara replied. They nodded slowly "so, is it gonna be weird if we're friends?" said Mitch cautiously. We shook our head "no, we aren't like weird stalkers or anything, we just really enjoy watching your videos" I explained. They nodded with a smile "do you do anything else other than watch us on YouTube?" Jerome asked jokingly. We laughed "we watch a lot of TV shows and I play soccer and baseball and Sara does track" I responded. They smiled and we went back to eating with a soft buzz of conversation floating around to table.
