I was at work when I got a call

Me: excuse me will give me a few minutes please

The couple shook their heads I left out and answered my phone

Me: kise I'm busy this better be good

Kise: destiny and yo step sister got into a fight

Me: oh my God are you serious who won

Kise: kandice are you for real right na yo step sister just got hurt

Me: you right but I mean I seen this coming Denise run her mouth and don't know when to shut up and you know how destiny is

Kise: I guess but destiny gone Shawn upstairs patching up yo sister's busted lip

Me: STEP sister but okay I'll try and get off early to come check it out is anything messed up

Kise: the table broke

Me: ughh okay thanks babe I'll see you later bye I love you

I hung up and headed towards my boss office
I knocked on the door

Mrs.Malcolm: come in

Me: Mrs. Malcolm um I have a family emergency at home could I get off early and get like a hour break please

Mrs.Malcolm: *sigh* Ms. Dawson you have been taking a lot of time off you know I'm gonna have to cut your check short right

Me: I know and I'm so sorry it's just every since my ex came back into my life so much stuff has been happening and then my be-

Mrs.Malcolm: shh Chile you lucky you're my favorite worker and you worked your butt off to get where you at today so I guess you can take the rest of the day off I'll just have Maria tale care of your clients

Me: thank you so much Mrs.Malcolm I owe you big time

Mrs.Malcolm: you sure do no go get out

I hurried out and into my office

Me: Mr and Mrs. Johnson I have a family emergency another perfect planner will be in to replace me I am so sorry

They both shook their heads and I hurried out I hopped in my truck and headed straight home

Amber P.O.V

Hey guys this is my first time getting a P.O.V y'all should know I'm best friends with destiny and kandice I am the nice and normal one I don't really date the last time I dated I was cheated on because I didn't wanna give up my virginity but I did give it up at college one night I was drunk I slept with my crush he never called me again so I'm not trying to find love anymore I have a bakery called "Amber's Bakes for Dates"
Don't ask why I chose it that but I actually like it I have 2 stores opened up one in my hometown and one in Miami where I went to college I have a big beautiful home which I live with my brother in he pay half the bills I pay half he barely be here tho but aye if he's happy then I'm happier anyways I decided to take a day off I need a break I decided to go see my girls so I got up I got in the shower I got out I picked out a short gray scarf like material dress it reached the middle of my thighs I put on my gray uggs to match since it was chilly out I gave myself a halo braid I put on clear lip gloss diamond earrings I grabbed my gray peacoat I buttoned it up I grabbed my things and got in my black 2015 mustang I was headed to her house I pulled up in her drive way and got out I seen a few cars there she must be having get together or something I knocked on her door Shawn answered

Me: hey is kandice here

Shawn: nah but uh u can come in and wait for her

I smiled

Me: thanks

I walked in and seen a girl sitting on the couch with a ice pack on her face damnn who got to her I walked towards the living room and sat down on the couch across from her me being me I decided to speak

Me: hi I'm amber

She just looked at me and rolled her eyes no she just didn't I was about to say something until markise walked in

Markise: hey amber what you doing here

Me: nothing just waiting on kandice

Markise: oh ight she should be pulling up right now

And as soon as he said that kandice walked in

Me: heyy babes I was just talking about you

Kandice: hey girl

We hugged and I went to go sit down

She looked at the girl

Kandice: soo what happened
Girl: that rat hit me for nothing

Kandice: that's not what I heard

Girl: oh really then what did your little pet tell you

Kandice looked like she wanted to beat the crap outta her and I don't blame her

Kandice: that right there your mouth is what got you in trouble look I'm sorry for what she did to you but you need to learn when to shut up

Kandice: did you get any sleep or did you put your stuff in the room

Girl: no I was too busy fighting for my life

Kandice: come on

She picked her bags up and they went upstairs then Shawn came down

Me: psst Shawn come here

He came and sat next to me

Me: what happened

Shawn: man destiny put them paws on her

Me: damnnn why

Shawn: she was talking smack to destiny then boom destiny was throwing blows to her face until allan pulled her off

Me: wooow who is that

Shawn: kandice step sister

Me: ooh Mrs. Dawson gone be pissed

Shawn: hell yea but wassup with u

Me: nothing been busy with work and stuff how about you

Shawn: boutta move into my house and stuff when you gone come over

Me: boy never

Shawn: why I gotta be a boy

Me: you have a weewee right

Shawn: you know what I meant I mean come on I got a house I got a job I got a car why won't you talk to me

Me: cause I just won't plus I like us being friends k

I seen kandice come down

Kandice: hey you two what y'all talking about

Me: girl nothing just friend stuff

Markise: yea okay

Me: shut up big head

Markise: please yo head bigger than my whole body

We all started laughing

Me: whatever , so kandice what you doing today

Kandice: nothing just gone cook for everybody you staying for dinner

Me: sure

Kandice: I would invite destiny over but yea today is just not the day

Me: I feel you but we need a girls day out

Kandice: girl yes what about this weekend

Me: sure sounds great

She headed in the kitchen and started dinner

Today's gonna be a good day
