The whole way to the drive in as the radio blasting I kept thinking about how happy I was. No matter how bad my past is or could be in that moment I was happy as can be! My hand out the window laughing as Sam and I sing along to every word on the radio. We aren't very good but that isn't what matters, what matters was it was Sam and I, no worries, no stress, and no drama.
"We are almost there" Sam said looking at the GPS on the dashboard.
When we arrived at the drive in, we looked around to see old 50s cars and an old 50s confessions building, I personally love the 50s. There wasn't a ton of people there yet because it was only 6 and the movie starts at 9 so we have quite a bit of free time to walk around and explore and even play some mini golf.
" There are swings!!!" I said to Sam with excitement as if I was a little girl. "Oh my lord" she said back with a smile. We race to the swings as kids and sit down anticipated to get higher and higher! Feeling the breeze while linking hands with same in sync laughing until we can't breathe. The funny thing is I wouldn't be laughing this hard if I was with anyone else, she is my other half and my partner in crime.
After the swings we made our way to the end of the netting down at this old picnic table. "Look! Look!" Same says looking in the direction behind me. " what" I say almost in a bitch tone as i turn my head to the same direction.
I see two guys playing a game, they were throwing a ball into a scoop catcher. One was really skinny and muscular, he had blondish hair and he was loud we could hear him from over here. I would have thought he was ADHD by the way he wouldn't sit still and all the energy you seen. While the other one had red hair and was built like a muscled man from his legs to his shoulders he looked all muscle and he looked really intimidating to me. (So I thought)
"Ehh there all right" I said still looking at the red haired boy curiously, almost as if I couldn't look away.
"Cmon let's go get a drink from the truck" Sam said pulling me to the truck. I wanted to look back at him again but I didn't want him to think I was staring. There was just something about him I wanted to look deeper into...
