It hurt, to see her hurt. It made me feel uneasy and worried and like my heart was beating out of my chest. But the thing is, growing up has changed how I feel about her.
See the story begins back to when I, Noah Patterson, first moved to Seattle when is was 10. It was a fresh start. New school, new neighbours, new friends. I could tell it was going to be great. However, I didn't know my whole world was about to change.
See we moved into a house across the road from the Walkers. My parents weren't overally impressed by the Walker's garden. They had no lawn nor did they manage to keep those shrubs of theirs alive. However, they were a nice Family.
They had 2 sons and 1 daughter. The sons, Jake and Caleb, happened to be twins. Both seemed to love football and have a great interest for music. It was a bonus that they both happened to be 16 now, which is the same age as my sister, Clarisa. However, the daughter on the other hand, Scarlett, my age, had a strong interest in reading and loved her 3 chooks, Charlie, Sammie and Peteet.
Ever since we moved in 4 years ago, however, Scarlett has had this weird admiration over me. I don't know why but it grew stronger and stronger until she got the point where she started to smell me.
Anyway, so a few months ago I started getting these strange feelings. Like they weren't just strange, they were weird but strong feelings towards Scarlett. I tried to hide them, like a normal 14 year old boy would but it wasn't working like I hoped it would.
All I could think about was her. She was on my mind.
