Running with Scissors

Thirteen.

I was slightly irritated that my romantic date turned into a group outing, but it was nice that everyone was getting along and Craig seemed distracted by Ruben so it gave Devin and I a bit of space.
We pulled up to a pier that was an amusement park carnival type thing, which I got really excited about.
"Are we going there?" I turned in my seat slightly to ask Devin.
He nodded with a smile, "You told me at Warped Tour how much you loved them so I thought it would be perfect."
"Oh gosh it's so amazing." I couldn't keep the smile off my face. The driver let out right at the front entrance, Devin grabbed my hand and pulled us away from everyone else.
      "Okay if we move fast enough we can ditch everyone else and just spend the day together." Devin spoke in a half whisper.
     I felt a smile play on my lips it was cute of Devin, "Sure let's get....."
     "Hey Stella, I'm going to hang out with you guys today." Denis spoke walking up to me and Devin. I saw Craig had a smirk on his face knowing nothing was going to be happening between Devin and I today with Denis right there. And the smile on Devin's face dropped completely being replaced by a scowl, I gave him an apologetic look and turned to Denis.
     "Okay, well then let's go ride some rides."  I spoke looking at both of them and then heading to the ticket booth hoping that they would just suck it up and follow me.
"Hello Welcome to Upside Down Land, I'm Cheyenne how can I help?" A very young a bubbly red head greeted me when I came up to the ticket booth.
"Hi Cheyenne can I get 3 unlimited passes for today?" I smiled back at her.
"Of course! Will that be all for you?" She responded.
"Yeah that's going to be all." I answered.
"Alright it's going to be $65.75" she told me total as I started to pull my card out of my pocket a crisp $100 bill was slammed onto the booth.
"It was supposed to be out date there's no way in hell I'm letting you pay." Devin spoke with a smirk.
At that point I noticed Cheyenne looking at Devin with star struck eyes, "is he Devin Oliver from I See Stars??" She asked me trying not look at him.
"He is indeed, would you like a picture with him?" I asked her I knew he wouldn't mind.
"Absolutely!" She responded and came out of the ticket booth, and stood awkwardly to beside it.
"Dev will you take a picture with her?" I asked him giving him puppy dog eyes making sure he would do it.
He walked over to her and pulled her into a hug, he was definitely in show mode, "Are you coming to the show tonight." He asked pulling away.
She looked so shocked but most girls would too if they had Devin Oliver just come up to them and hug them like an old friend, "Yes I am."
"That's fantastic." He smiled at her and then they posed for the picture which I took.
"Thank you so much Devin!" She beamed up at him.
     "Of course. I love getting to see fans and the rest of the band, plus all the bands we are touring with are coming inside too." He did his best heartbreaking smile. "I can't wait to see you at the show."
It was so cute getting to see Devin talk to his fans, Cheyenne went back into the ticket booth and handed me our wrist bands, and the changed.
"Thank you so much for doing that for me." Cheyenne had a huge grin.
"Of course, we'll see you at the show." I smiled back at her then handed Denis and Devin their wrist bands, then put mine on "Let's go ride the roller coaster."
      We got in line for the roller coaster not really talking Devin kept glaring at Denis, while Denis was trying to take a good selfie. I felt slightly awkward and didn't really know what to say to them. Thankfully a girl standing in front on me started a conversation.
     "I really love your thigh piece." She told me, "how long did it take to get done?"
     "Oh thank you so much. And it took about 4 and a half hours." I told her. We had a conversation about tattoos for a bit and then it was our turns to get on the roller coaster.
      "Do you want to ride together my boyfriend is horrified of roller coasters?" She asked me I said yes hoping that making Devin and Denis ride something together would help crush their animosity.
       We rode the roller coaster which I loved, we got off and I said goodbye to the girl and turned to look at Devin and Denis who didn't seem that happy but sucked it up and followed me. The boys and I then rode the tilt a whirl, two more roller coasters and the Ferris wheel, after we got off the Ferris Wheel and I turned to them.
       "Do you guys wanna go get some food maybe or ride more rides?" I asked the both of them. They both seem very unamused about everything but I hoped they'd get over it.
      "Let's go get food." Denis answered, while throwing an arm over my shoulder. Devin looked like he was about to punch Denis in the face but contained himself.
      We grabbed some food from one of the vendors and sat at a table, Devin practically pushed Denis out of the way so he could sit beside me. We ate in silence for a few minutes no one knowing really what to say.
     "So what did you do last night?" Denis asked off handly.
     "Nothing just sat at the hotel, edited some pictures and talked to my mom the usual." I responded taking a some funnel cake Devin bought, trying not to get powdered sugar all over myself.
     "Oh really that was all? Because your neck my dear Stella is very black and blue." Denis responded and I felt mortified.
     "It doesn't matter what her neck looks like Denis it's no longer your concern." Devin immediately responded. The tension intensified both of them glaring at each other.
     "Oh really? Well did you know I took Stella's virginity last year?" Denis smirked at Devin almost trying to rub it in his face, I was beyond embarrassed, looking at him completely shocked that he would even say that.
      "Shut the hell up Denis. That's enough! I didn't lose my virginity to you, and even if I did why would you go around telling people about that." I shot back at him. I couldn't stop myself from saying more so I just began going off on him, "and another thing you broke up with me you made that choice so you don't get to come waltzing back into my life as if nothing happened. As if you weren't the one who broke my fucking heart, you didn't bother to even ask how I was when I first saw you on this tour, you just thought we could hook up and I'm sorry there's no way in hell thats going to happen. So how about you just go sleep around with other girls and and we end this completely." I got up from the table before he could say anything and stormed away.
I actually felt a bit better letting all of that get off of my chest. I went to the end of the pier and looked off into ocean, all the negative feelings I had been holding in about Denis well they were finally out there and he knew. I heard foot steps behind me and then arms wrapped around my waist.
"You're quite the badass Ms. Mabbitt," Devin whispered in my ear.
      "Well thanks Mr. Oliver." I spoke leaning back into his chest and resting my head slightly on his shoulder, "I'm actually really sorry about that. "
     "Stells it's completely okay. If you hadn't said anything I was going to punch him again."  He told me kissing my forehead. 
      "Yeah and that wouldn't be good. But I'm letting go of all my feelings for him." I responded to him.
     "Well in that case let's take some cute pictures." He told me pulling out his cell phone. He opened his camera and took a few cute pictures then opened snapchat, "okay do we want filters or no?" I shook my head no just because I didn't feel like taking off my sunglasses and I bet neither did he. We took the cutest picture with his head on my shoulder both of smiling ear to ear, he then captioned it; "the future Mrs. Devin Nicholas Oliver....maybe ❤️❤️ "
      I rolled my eyes at that caption, "Devin you're not even my boyfriend. "
     "Stella I'm really sick of you saying that." He responded turning me around so we were face to face "will you please do me the honor and officially be my girl?"
     I couldn't help smiling, "yes I will. Now was that to hard to just ask me?" I got on my tippy toes giving him a kiss, "now come on baby you have a show to play."
      He intertwined our fingers and we began walking down the pier to get a cab to head to the venue.
