The Run Away

getting packed... sorta

"Ryuu I wanted you to come with me"

"..."

"If you don't want to then ill stay here but, i'd like you too see the world through my perspective"

I wasn't thinking clearly and I was filled with thoughts but my head was empty at the same time. At the moment I was wondering 'what if I did go, what if  did run away from home, what if I could have a fun life with this girl'. I looked up at her "Aki i-" then my phone rang  and I answered 

"ryuu speaking" 

"its your mother, where are you its 10 and past your curfew"

"yes mother, I will be there right away"

I cant believe it I was there for 4 hours. I thought that I was only here for mabey 2. I then look at aki "I gotta go" then she looked at me and said "Just sleep on the thought, okay" and I left. 

My mother looked at me and stayed silent. I went up to my room and tried to go too sleep but couldn't cause I could think about was that aki asked me to go with her. After a while I looked at my clock and what had felt like hours had actually only been ten minutes since last time I checked my clock it was 12:45. Why was time always opposite for me, how come I had never perceived time like how long or short it was. Soon enough I was asleep and was having the nightmare.

'The little boy but the part where he is being chased by the puppy was skipped for some reason instead they were at the lake but they little boy was screaming for his parents that were standing right infront of him just looking down at him. His father leaned down to him and said "its alright, just give in" then the little boy stopped crying and screaming as soon as his father put his hand on the little boys face as the beast devoured him'

I basically jumped out of bed and started to pant and almost choked on air every few seconds. I looked over at my clock and saw that it was 4:45. Every once in a while I would rub my eyes and look at my phone and think about what aki had told me. I picked up my phone and looked through my contacts and saw aki's name that was on the first on the list since i didn't have a lot of people "ugh... i'm gonna regret this so much" I went over to my dresser and stuffed as many cloths in my backpack as I could. 

My mother and father were probably going to be at work since they leave at 3 but just in case I tiptoed downstairs and saw my father sitting on the dining room chair sleeping on top of paper work. I obviously couldn't sneak past the door since my father was a light sleeper so, I went in the bedroom hall way realizing that I would need money so I went to my parents room and rummaged through my parents emergency money on the nightstand next to the bed and thought for a second what am I doing. "who's there?!?" I heard my father getting off of the chair and starting to walk up the stairs so in panic I took the 200 dollars from my dads wallet and looked out my window. It was only a 4 foot fall so it was easy getting down. (Ryuu is only 5'5 cause I didn't want him to be like 6'1 cause lets face it if your an asian like me you are not that tall)

I looked down at my phone to see the time, it was. 5:10. I started to jog over to aki's apartment but I suddenly realized 'if I do this then I would be leaving my education and family behind' I wasn't paying attention to where I was going so I was just walking mindlessly "Hey watch it kid" I accidentally ran into an older man which was when I finally realized that I had just passed her apartment. I knocked on her door and after the first knock she opened it.

"So you are going then"

"Yeah"

"Were going in an hour, have you eaten yet"

"No"

went in her mini kitchen while I had gotten into deep thought 'how would mother and father would react if I had told them I was running away to go run away with a girl that I had met only 2 times in my life. They would probably just laugh at me and think that I was mentally insane and ask if i needed to see a doctor. Whats even worst i'd that I saw my father in my dream rather then my friends' 

"Hello, is anyone in there" aki had put her hand infront of my face "I've been trying to get your attention for a while you weirdo" She laughed at me since I had been so zoned out for a while"i'm fine" and blinked a couple times snap out of it. "you looked like you were in really deep thought, whats on your mind ryuu. we'll be spending a lot of time together so its better to tell me now then wait for later" I nodded as she brought the food over, it looked so good since I didn't have dinner yesterday. 

we had both had said"itadakimasu (it means I receive this food in Japanese)" and started to eat. "I wonder what my parents are going to think of we when i'm gone since i'm basically throwing an education that I wont need since i was doing collage work when I was in 8th grade." She looked at me with confusion but suddenly jumped up "WHOA RYUU I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE THAT SMART!!!" 

"Its not that i'm smart its that I Just do good in classes"

 Aki was very loud but I liked it, she was able to show expression so easily to the point to where you would get a warm comforting feeling. We grabbed our stuff and started to walk outside of the building(this part might get a little tripy so i put on who is talking)

aki:"Don't worry ryuu I feel like that to, it just your self conscious scaring you. But I can feel your nervous about something else too" 

ryuu:"Well... its sorta complicated."

aki:"We only have all the time in the world"

ryuu:Um...

aki:"How 'bout its only between us two. like a secret that not really a secret" 

ryuu:"I don't think secrets work like that aki"

aki:"Ryuu just tell me"

ryuu:"*sigh* I get nightmares stills"

aki:"What bout"

ryuu:"I'm in a little boys perspective but it also seems like i'm watching from a far. I start playing with a puppy in a field but soon it turns into some sort of beast thats chasing me through the forest and when I think I've lost him so I run into a river and I see my old friends on the other side but, the beast is right there so I try to drown it but I fail and I start screaming for my friends but all they do is look at me, and then I get eaten by the beast."

aki:...

ryuu:"it makes me sound weird, I know"

Aki stopped walking and looked up at me. I obviously looked back at her but she looked concerned. "Im sorry did i do something wrong" I asked in a plain expression as I usually do. 

"Ryuu, how often do you get this nightmare" 

"Like almost every night"

"NA-NANI"

"whats your secret?"

"I have thantaphobia"

"so your scared that  the people that you love are gonna leave or reject you."

"forget me tho!"

She ran infront of me and pointed at herself "don't worry ryuu I wont let the nightmares get you!" she had a confident smirk on her face "ok...sure" she laughed a little bit and then grabbed my hand, her hands were warm like the mittens she had given me a year ago. As we were walking I saw a sign that said that we were leaving town. "Wait, let me get something" aki started to rummage through her bag before pulling out an old style camera. 

"We should take a photo for every town we go too!" 

"Why"

"So we can make memories you dingus"

She put the camera in front of us and smiled, I  had a poker face on the other hand "pftt. why didn't you smile?!" she was laughing at the fact I didn't smile 'how does she find humor in the weirdest things' she put her camera away and smiled at me "ryuu why don't we make a bet, if I win then you have to do what ever I want, but if you win i'll do what every you want. think of it like a genie. you have to be able to smile and laugh at jokes like a normal person" I nodded and she basicly blew up with joy.
