India POV:

Date: March 20th, 2013

Location: Home

Time: 6:00 A.M.

I popped up as my alarm beeped. I am excited for today. Today is my best friend's birthday. I'm going to bring her balloons and a birthday cake. She is my heart, like she is always there for me and I can tell her anything. I got up to do my hygiene routine. I looked in the mirror as I straightened my long black here. I watched as I took each part, piece by piece, the steam flowing from the flat iron as it ran thew my hair. After about 10 minutes, I was finished, I unplugged the flat iron and laid it back on the towel, to cool off.

By the time I was done getting ready, it was 6:45. I ran downstairs to grab my keys and be on my way. I walked out the door and locked it. I ran to my car, and hopped it. I put the key in the ignition and listened to the car come to life. I pulled out my phone and cord and plugged it up to my car speakers. I sang along to 'Gone' by Kelly Rowland as it blasted through the speakers.

"Hey, Love

Thought that I should share my day

It felt a little bit crazy, baby

I cleared the closet so I'm out your way

Guess you can have your space

Well I thought that I should write a letter

then I thought this would be better, don't yell

There's a million ways that I could tell you

but I think I'd rather show you it's over

and I won't be back no more"

Location: Lee's Bakery

Time: 7:10 AM

POV: India

I pulled up into the parking lot of Lee's Bakery (Atlanta bakery). I turned the car off, getting out, I grabbed my wallet. I pressed the button on my keys to lock the car and walked into the bakery. I inhaled the pleasant aromas that filled the bakery as I stepped inside. I walked up to the counter and looked at the other cakes on display as I waited for someone to come to the counter.

"Hello, welcome to Lee's bakery, how may I service you today on this fine morning?" A guy said, he looked to be about 24 or 25, he had caramel colored skin, he was tall and had pretty green eyes.

"Hey, I'm India Westbrooks, I ordered a cake and balloons." I replied. He shook his head.

"Okay, hold on a second, I'll be back." He said as he stepped back into the kitchen.

A few minutes later, he returned with a beautifully decorated chocolate and vanilla cake and pretty red balloons.

"Thank you so much! The cake is beautiful and the balloons are pretty" I said as I thanked him. The cake had white and blue icing on it, with yellow stars made out of fondant on the sides. It had Zonnique's name printed on it it in cursive. The balloons were red hearts with "Happy Birthday Nique!" printed on them in pink. I paid for the balloons and cake and bought "1" and "7" candles. I had to make two trips to the car to get it all in. I sat the cake on the floor of the passenger side so it wouldn't fall. I put the balloons in the trunk so that they wouldn't block the back window. I pulled off, I can't wait to get to school. Zonnique is completely unaware of the little party we are gonna have for her at lunch.
