Emily's POV- It's been 2 months of living here and I'm ready to go back home. I;ve done absolutely nothing but sit back, relax, watch Criminal Minds, and ear. I should be spending my summer partying and hanging out with Grace and going on romantic dates with Jason instead of being stuck behind a stupid computer screen.
"Hey Emily, what's up?" Grace asked as a skyped her.
"Wishing I weren't stuck in this hell whole. What about you?"
"Emily, come on. Go do something. You shouldn't just be sitting on your ass all day. It's not healthy."
"Well today's my last day of summer break so give me a break."
"Aren't you excited?" she asked. wtf no. what is she talking about why would I be happy about this?.
"Why would I be excited?"
"Cause you'll actually have a life and will make friends."
"Um no thanks, I'm content here." what am I saying, I hate it in this house.
"Come on, look at the bright side here. You'll have something to do. And don't even say you're not bored all the time cause I know you are." is it obvious?
"What are you so anxious about?"
"Cause I'm not a freshman anymore. I might actually get the elective I want this year." I giggled little.
"What, was creative writing not enough for you?"
"Um no." She giggled a little too. "How's everything with Jason?"
"We still talk occasionally but it's not the same."
"It'll get better babe. Look it's getting late here and I've got to start actually sleeping so I'll talk to you later?"
"I'll be here. Bye."
"Bye."
is it sad that that was the best part of my day? i miss her and all her excitement like crazy. all she ever ask now is how i feel and how I'm doing instead of all the fun gossip and crazy stories we used to share. she seems concerned for me and just ugh i want to have fun again.
