since the time of silas there has been sirens but they got extinct with no reason to why it happened, even the mikaelsons thought they were just a legend, what no one knew was that there was still one left. meryl was the last of the sirens and for the last two thousand years she has been feeding off souls of every creature that possessed one. when she hears about the last of the mikaelsons being in new orleans, she decided that it was the perfect opportunity to take their souls and live for a very long time.
