Chapter Five : The Last Party

Here I am in my beautiful car driving to the iStore with Dominic, Demi and Doris. Doris needs a new macbook, Demi wants the iPod 6 and Dominic is taging along to check out the iWatch. It's just a ten minute drive so we'll have a lot of time to get ready for the beetle awards. You probably have no idea about the beetle awards, it's like the shorty awards, they're both not very popular but still known to a lot of people. It's strictly by invitation but one invite can get three people in and it's only for 20 years old and under. It's usually at the end of summer, so a lot of people can attend. Everyone must come dressed in all black then you'll be given a robe at the entrance according to your status.

Gold Robe - Premium inventor (won over 25 awards)

Silver Robe - Master inventor (won over 20 awards)

Bronze Robe - Good inventor (won over 10 awards)

White Robe - Average inventor (won an award)

Black Robe - Invited start up inventor

There is the Reagan awards, it's like the VMA's, everyone comes but only the very important and great inventors win a Reagan. There's no dress code, no invitation. Getting a Reagan gets you a lot of respect and recognition. A lot of Company managers come to theses events to get young inventors to come work for them or help them. It's usually at winter break in Utah. The award is a giant gold brooch on a piece of wood and it's really pretty.

There is also the Hart awards, it's like the golden globes,there's a red carpet and a lot of interviews. If you mess up your interview it's going to be used against you in a lot of things and you'll probably not want to come to any award show for a long time. Winning a hart gives you quite a lot of attention, which means you're being watched and any little mistake gets you questioned. We only attend once in a while because it's done during school. The award is a gold hat with eye glasses under it, it kind of says to the world that 'I am a nerd and I'm good at it'.

We have the Silver Metal awards, it's just like the grammys, it's only for the legendary. Getting invited means you are worthy to sit with legends. If anything bad happens, you might never set foot on their red carpet ever again and you'll be mocked for the rest of your life. I've been invited to the last three Silver Metal awards but I didn't win anything even though I got nominated for several categories. It's usually at spring break so I can attend. You guessed it the award is a silver metal on wood but it's more extravagant than you think

Last but definitely not least is the YIIC awards, because YIIC is an international club and they have millions of members they give awards annually to everyone that needs to be recognized for their great effort. They have the award show anywhere they pick around the world, luckily for us this years award show was in New York. YIIC only invites the award winners and a few extra people, if you're not invited you get kicked out. Anyway that's it, we're back home and I'm taking a nap because I know that I'll be called to present an award.

6 hours later - 4:10 pm

To save myself the stress of packing late at night when we return, I am currently packing the apple television because I'll probably need it so I'm shipping it to Calabasas. My mom, Anika bought it and told us that we'rel handling the monthly subscriptions which is $40. We had to buy gaming controllers and a few cables which was a total of $200, I made a rule to avoid too much spending "You break it, you buy it" and it has really helped.

Doris is packing the iMac, we all contributed to buy it because it was $2000. It was a back up for anyone who didn't have a laptop like Demi or if any of our siblings came to visit. I finished packing the television and put it on the sofa after i tagged it delicate. I walked into my room and took a quick shower, these events are extremely long. The bug beetle awards appreciates everyone based on personality and hard work. They basically have an award category for almost every category.
