Summer Love

Chapter Four

Santana's POV

I woke up to Brittany's arms wrapped around my waist. I smiled at the warmth she was giving off. I closed my eyes until I felt Brittany move closer to me.

"Morning." She said with a big smile. Her lips were inches away from mine and I couldn't stop staring at them. If I just leaned in a little our lips would touch. I think Brittany was think the same because she was staring at my lips too. She started leaning in as my heart rate was racing.

"Morning Sunshine's!" Quinn said as she walked in the room. We both jotled away from each. Danm it. So close. I still wonder what her lips taste like. I took a glimpse at her before getting ready for school. Today was going to be a long day for sure.

We got to school and Brittany linked my pinky with hers as we walked to our lockers. I smiled at the feeling of her next to me. As we touched. It felt amazing.

I opened my locker mentally punching myself. I can't have these feelings for her. It's not right. I wanted to slam my head against the locker right now.

"Hey are you okay?" Brittany asked.

"Huh? Oh yeah, im fine." I said to her with a smile. How can she just detect that I'm mentally killing myself right now?

"I have a gut feeling you're lying, but okay." She said while looking at me. Looking into my eyes. I stared into hers and geez were they beautiful. A swerve of blue over came over her eyes like an ocean wave. I loved her eyes. Love. Strong word. I don't use it much. I don't think I ever will. At least not in the way that it's used romantically. I sighed and went to class with Brittany right behind me.

After school Quinn and Brittany and came over and we watched more movies. This time Quinn was the one that fell asleep. I looked over at Brittany to see she was about to fall asleep too.

"Do you wanna go to bed?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "No, let's do something else." She said. I nodded.

"Okay what?" I asked.

"I don't know just something." She leaned on me and my heart began to race again.

"I can hear your heart San. It's beating really fast." She said. I bit my lip. Crap. What do I do?

"Um that's my normal heart rate." I said quickly.

"Woah." She said amazed. I couldn't help but smile at how she reacted.

"I was just kidding. I just um. Sometimes when I get nervous or something my heart rate increases." I say.

"Well why?" She asked looking up to me.

"I-i don't know." I stuttered.

"Hmm. Okay. Let's go to bed in tired." She said getting up and starting to walk to my room. I got up and followed her to my room. I shut the door behind me and saw Brittany. I say next to her then looked into her ocean blue eyes. She looked back into mine and that was when we both started to lean in.
