Author's Note
Hello there! :-) This is a short note that will hopefully address some of the doubts you may have while/ after reading the book. If you find anything unclear, do drop me a comment or PM me so I can address them!
1. Context
This story is largely set in Boston, America, but there will also be mention of New York City subsequently - and it will span over 8 years. However, I seek all of your understanding that there may be some discrepancies when it comes to the education system as I'm not from America, and there may be some errors in my writing. ((Do let me know if there are any though!))
2. Point of View
This story is told from an unknown third party's point of view. To prevent confusion, do note that the "she" and "her" used in the story will mainly be from the view of this unknown third party, while I will try to be as clear as possible when it's Sam's POV instead.
3. Sensitive issues
Do note that I will be touching on certain sensitive topics such as anxiety, kleptomaniacs, thalassemia and Kanner's syndrome (autism) in this book, so I hope all of you will practice discretion whilst reading it :-)
