My ears twitched at a pleasantly nostalgic voice, I haven't heard it for so long.
"I told you to leave her alone!"
"Yes, I know young master, but she is one of those." He spoke back, attempting to avoid his head being bitten off.
"How uninteresting." Tsubaki spat, annoyance laced through his tone causing my ears to twitch again. I rolled onto my back, feeling my head throb I let out a quiet groan of discomfort. My head felt heavy and it was proving troublesome to fully open my eyes.
I felt a drip on my cheek, squeezing my eyes at the terrible feeling of a heavy liquid running down my face. Quietly peering out from my eyelids, I attempt to gaze at the cause of this horrible feeling on my skin. There sat a man, draped in a black kimono like both his heart and mind were lifeless, though the blood red flower petals fluttering around the outer layer that were laying carelessly over his shoulders seemed to contradict this 'lifelessness'.
He seemed to be licking his hand, causing his fangs to flash each time he moved his tongue out to receive more of the liquid. His crimson eyes were enthralling, gazing upon his hand, he appeared unaware that I was staring at him sheepishly. The dark sun glasses that sat on the end of his nose contrasted his beautiful face, but also hide the beauty behind the dark glass, it was somewhat irritating.
Moving his gaze to me suddenly with his tongue slightly out, I obviously interrupted his meal as he leaned over me slightly, supporting himself with his free hand. His eyes seemed empty, devoid of emotion, though he still managed to smile at me sweetly. I moved my eyes from him, remembering the words the guards would often mutter outside as they passed,
"Don't look that devil child in the eyes, she will enthrall you and turn you to stone."
I'm sure the words they muttered were metaphor, but after so many generations having the same words whispered, it was difficult not to believe the words that would pass through their lips. Turning my head to the side, I bit my lip at the pain that seemed to slice down my neck, drawing blood.
It subsided as I relaxed my head in the opposite direction I heard him sigh, causing me to tense. Did I upset him? Should I turn back to look? Placing a hand on my chin, he twisted my head towards him, failing to suppress the noise I yelped in pain, causing my lip to bleed severely, though not life threateningly.
"How uninteresting." Tsubaki muttered staring at me.

RandomI'd always been alone. Nothing had come for me nor had I been interested in anything. At least, until I saw him. 'Who is Coming', quite a fitting nickname for the vampire I had my eyes set on.
