A/N: I do not own Lab Rats, and I never will. All rights to Disney and the creators. This is purely a work of fiction I came up with while watching the show the other day. This was my first fanfiction, and I thought it turned out pretty decent. This is also my first work in third-person, so I apologize if it ever switches into first-person. I apologize for any OOC-ness, I tried! But, I'd love to hear what you think! Any and (almost) all comments are appreciated!

One more thing, before I get to the actual story. Cyber-bullying is serious, as is self-harm and suicide. If you, or someone you know is suffering, please do not hesitate to tell a trusted adult. You are a beautiful, unique individual and you do not need to take that crap from ANYONE. You are all important, and you all have an unlimited amount of potential. Don't forget that.

Now, without further delay, on with the story...

It was the final class of the day, and Chase's personal favorite. Science. As the teacher made her way through the aisles, passing out results from the previous Friday's test, Chase sat there relaxed as ever. He loved this class, and he'd spent hours studying. There was no way he'd gotten anything other than an A.

But, as the teacher approached him with a disappointed face, he quickly became anxious. Had he done something wrong? Of course not, he assured himself. He always pays extra attention in this class. He would've known if he'd done something wrong. He's sure of it. Well, Chase had been a little . . . distracted lately. But that didn't mean-

Chase's thoughts came to a screeching halt as his teacher set his test down on his desk, upside down. Chases heartbeat started to pick up. Not because the action was unusual-she always set everyone's tests that way so others can't see scores, but there was a pink sticky-note on the back. The words "See me after class" were scrawled in small, neat handwriting. She'd obviously had time to write the note out, so it wasn't a last minute, I-need-to-double-check-something-with-you meeting. She'd thought it over. This was serious.

Chase moved his hand-that was definitely not shaking, thank you very much-to cover the note, turning his paper over. What he saw made his heart skip a beat. D-.

A D-? How did he manage to get that? He's the smartest person alive. He's not supposed to get D-'s on simple high-school tests! What would Mr. Davenport think?

Chase was so lost in his thoughts that he almost didn't notice the snicker and click of a camera from behind him. He turned, eyes widened, just in time to see the student behind him slipping a phone into his back pocket. Chase recognized the student as one of Trent's friends, and quickly turned around. Chase quickly put the paper in his bag, hiding the score from any other possible prying eyes. He'd figure how to hide the test later.

Chase spent the remainder of the class slouched over his desk, half-heartedly writing down notes. They were barely legible, but he could always rewrite them later. He just didn't have the heart to do the work at that moment in time. Finally, after what felt like forever, the bell rung, signaling the end of the school day. Chase slowly packed up his things, feeling like everyone was watching him, judging.

When the last student left the classroom, he made his way to his teacher's desk. Chase stared down at his feet, the toe of his right sneaker scuffing the floor.

"Chase, you aren't in trouble," his teacher started, and Chase nodded weakly. "I'm just a bit concerned. This isn't like you, is everything alright?"

"Yes, ma'am. Everything's been fine."

It wasn't exactly a lie. At least, Chase hoped it wasn't. None of his loved ones were dying, his bionics were still a secret, and he was still free to leave the Lab, so why wouldn't things be fine?
