Part 3-  The Truth

SETH'S POV; CONTINUED.

My senses told me there was someone standing right by my door, but I really couldn't be asked. I had drowned in unwanted thoughts and I literally felt like murdering someone.

Even with my eyes shut, I felt like I was being watched. After a few long minutes I started to feel a little uncomfortable.

"Seth please..." mumbled Jessica. Jessica was one of my closest friends ever, we argued, had our ups and downs: but to be fair; she was a really trustworthy person who shared LOADS of my personal secrets. Without her life would stink. It had always been me, Monique, Jessica and Luke. We'd always be up to no good.

I'd known Jessica ever since I was born; I knew all about her family background, we went to the same nursery, primary and secondary! There was even a time when she had to stay at my house while her parents dealed with family problems.

I remember how her parents used to always argue and how her mom used to ask my mother for advice- that's how I got so close to her, and how I started trusting her with really personal things. I loved her. She'd never give me reason to not trust her.

I felt her shuffling uncomfortable. I started feeling a little sorry for her.

I let out a deep sigh and opened my eyes. I saw her moving her eyes to me and then Monique repeatedly. Then she stopped, stared at the back glass off the car. Her eyes began to lighten up. She looked back down at me, confused.

She had turned her frown upside down. She let out a small giggle, pushed her hair back and said: "Ha! Aren't you the one who always stresses the quote" she stopped, took a deep breath in and moved her lips like she was about to repeat something she had memorized really well.

Slowly she began; "Sometimes you feel tired, then you feel weak, and when you feel weak, you feel like you just want to give up. But you got to search within you, you got to find that inner strength and just pull that thing out of you and get that motivation to not give up and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you want to just fall flat on your face and collapse!'  Huh?!" She had finished and made her point. She held her face high, proud.

What on earth had gotten to me? Why was I turning so depressed!? Okay. Fine. I had some explaining to do, but that wasn't going to be any time soon...especially now that Monique was hurt, I had found my distraction! Live for the moment I always said. I stared at her blankly.  I felt pissed with myself, I'd always use quotes like that on her, and now they were back firing on me!

I could hear Luke and James coming our way, they were joking around like foolish clowns. "...If you say so!" screamed Luke, his voice came slurred as he was laughing like a hyena.

"Sorry" I whispered to her, and then smiled encouragingly.  She knew she had got what she wanted. She gave me a real gigantic smile. She disappeared, running towards Luke and Matthew.

...

JESSICAS'S POV.

Ahh life was awesome, I thought to myself.

I was in Monique’s porche, along with: Seth- who was driving, Luke- who was sitting behind Seth, on the right hand side of the car, James- who was sitting next to him and Monique who was sitting behind me, next to James and staring out the window.

The digital clock on the board showed it was 7:49, the sun was still shining bright so I shoved on my sunglasses.

We had to arrive at Coreleane's no later than 11:30 but before that we had plenty to do.
