I walk to the top of the hill sitting next to Matt. We watch the fair from the hill. So many pretty lights and happy smiling people.
Matt held me close, we watched the sunset. I sigh in delight. "It's so beautiful"
"Yeah, Blake....I've been.....Thinking lately that, us dating for the longest and...."
"Yeah, Matt" we look each other in the eye.
"I uh....." Matt got on one knee and I froze for a second. "I love you, and I don't want to lose you to anyone ever again...Because you are my one and the only person I want to say this too." He takes out a ring and shows it to me. A beautiful diamond ring shining the moon and starlight. "Will you marry me?"
I felt a small tear go down and I smiled. I nodded fast. "A million times yes!"
We kissed as he slid my ring on. She held each other close and I admired my new ring.
I smiled. "You seemed nervous...." I said.
"It was nerve-racking though"
"Yeah yeah," I said smiling. "I feel a bright future. Even though you're are such a teacher's pet"
"No, you're the pet. I'm nothing but the teacher play toy"
"I'd play all day on you though"
We laugh. "At least let me get used to it, or you'd tear me apart".
I smile. "I love you so much, Matthew"
".....I love you, even more, Blake"
