•Chapter 1•.

It was a Friday afternoon and the bus was filled with chatter and excitement.

Everyone was talking about the big football game tonight.

Usually I'm part if the chatter but today I'm just not feeling it.

On Fridays I guess I just get in a funk

Don't get me wrong I love the weekend, but I'm not what you would call social.

I have friends.

More like a whole football team if friends but the football games are usually where popular people and athletic people hang out.

It's not like I have anything against sports but I just like to avoid wannabes and populars.

And trust me.

I'm not a loser.

I'm actually quite popular.

In the dorks, geeks, nerds, and bookworms circle.

Sighs. That sounded better in my head.

And I do have popular friends just I don't hang out with them, where I'd get noticed a lot.

Because I'm perfectly fine in the losers circle.

"SUREEE!" I told myself. Of course I love my unpopular friends but I just wish sometimes they wouldn't be so... weird.

Take Emily for example. She's my best friend.

I love her to death but sometimes I guess I get embarrassed by her.

Then theirs Matt.

My other best friend who I've known forever.

Longer than Em.

But ever since the start of .middle school he's changed and joined the cool kids.

The pops, as they call themselves.

And now its the end of our second year of middle school and where still cool but...

Sometimes I feel...

Almost...

Empty.

'Cause the thing is, 2 years ago I started to like Matt. Like, like-like him.

And guess what? Yep! He gotta a girlfriend. Popular miss Cassidy Rose.

And ya everyone says she's sweet and nice, but I don't see it.

She's to perfect.

So to 'fix' the problem I got a boyfriend of my own. Mr. Unpopular Riley Bohen.

And guess what?

Matt doesn't like Hik either.

So now were fair.

But he doesn't know about us. Yet.
