Dedicated to Son-Of-Satan who requested I do a love story with their OC. I hope I don't screw this up! I'll be changing the storyline some.

~Kikyo's POV~We arrived at Glaivend Basin and snuck into the Hyland army camp. Sorey was trying to talk some sense into the generals while I was looking across the battlefield from a nearby plateau. I found myself messing with my fire and lightning artes. I formed a small electrical ring around a small flame.
"What's wrong?" At the sound of Sorey's voice, I flinched and my artes dispelled. "O-oh, nothing. Just...messing around," I answered. Sorey didn't believe me for one moment that I was okay. I sigh and keep my back turned to him. Then his hand found my shoulder.
"Hey, it's going to be all right," he reassured me. I turned and faced him with a smile. He began to poke my cheek and I started to pout. He laughed at my reaction. "A smile suits you better than a frown. And the pouting makes you more cute."
I began poking his cheek and I saw a tint of red spreading across his features. "So...you think I'm cute?" I shyly ask. Sorey looks away and nods slowly. I giggle and stop poking his cheek. We hear someone clear their throat which brought us back to the real world. "Are you both done making googly eyes at each other?" Mikleo asked. Sorey and I jump away from each other and blush deeply.
Lailah was smiling and laughing at us. Mikleo was wearing a grin and Edna wore her same expression as usual and twirled her umbrella around. "They're so cute together," Lailah commented with a small giggle. Our happy moment was short lived. Suddenly, the sky turned dark and we all felt massive malevolence coming from somewhere.
"What is causing this?" I ask. "I don't know, but we need to find the source and stop it," Sorey replied. We started running across the battlefield and saw Rolance and Hyland fighting. Dark auras surrounded all the soldiers. "I've got a bad feeling about this," Edna said. We ran into countless of Hellions, but we defeated all that got in our way. A strange dark presence shot a spark up my spine and I fell to my knees.
"Kikyo!" Sorey runs over to me and helps me up. "You felt that too?" He asked. "Yeah. We're getting very close to whatever it is." We run up to a plateau and see a figure shrouded in darkness. He censed us and turned around. The Hellion resembled a lion and had enormous claws.
"Heldalf..." Lailah muttered. I was taken back by his presence that I tuned out most of the conversation. "Are you the new Shepherd?" He asked Sorey. He replied strongly and Heldalf just laughed evilly. "Do you honestly think you have what it takes to destroy me?" He looked at all of us. His eyes stopped on me. "It's very rare for a Seraphim to control two elements. Interesting..." His presence kept getting stronger and stronger. His eyes never left me until Sorey stood in front of me protectively.
"Mikleo, armatize," Sorey said in a low voice. Said Seraph was in shock. I was as well. Lailah, on the other hand, knew this had to be done. That's when our long battle with Heldalf began.

The battle felt like it lasted for hours. In the end, it was only Sorey and I left. Mikleo, Lailah, and Edna were unconscious."Kikyo, it's too dangerous," Sorey said. "You know it's our only option. Please, Sorey..." I begged. He stared into my amber eyes with his jade ones. "All right. If anything goes wrong, I'll break the connection." We armatized and fought against the Lord of Calamity. Our struggle against him was useless. In a matter of minutes, our connection was shattered and Sorey was unconscious. Heldalf started approaching him, but I stood in the way. A strange power surges through me and a bright light surrounded me.
"Mystic arte! Lightning Phoenix!" I shout. An enormous Phoenix made of lightning and fire formed in front of me and attacked Heldalf. The power was so immense, I feel to my knees and was breathing heavily. A figure in my peripheral vision caught my attention. A familiar assassin was helping Sorey. I sigh in relief and watch as the two disappear. "Thank goodness he'll be safe..." I fall to the ground and embrace the darkness.
~Sorey's POV~
When I woke up, I was laying on an unfamiliar bed. I looked around and couldn't find anyone. "Where's everybody? Kikyo? Mikleo?" I stood up from the bed and looked around. "Lailah? Edna?" I didn't receive a response from anyone. "What's going on?" I try to keep calm. The last thing I remember is Kikyo and I fighting Heldalf. I hope she's okay. I hope everybody's okay. I didn't want to go far so I sat back down on the bed.
"Sorey!" Mikleo's voice rings out. He suddenly appears in front of me. "Where have you been?!" I ask frantically. "We've been here the whole time. You wouldn't respond to us when we yelled for you," Lailah said. "It's like you couldn't see or hear us. Meebo kept shouting over and over again," Edna added. "Don't call me that!" Mikleo yelled.
"Where's Kikyo?" I ask. Lailah looks down at the ground. "I'm not sure. We can't find her," she said. Shock fills me and my eyes widen. "H-how? How is she not here?" I ask. "Don't worry, Sorey. We'll find her. She's our friend and we won't leave her alone," Mikleo said.
"We need to find her before she gets hurt!" I was about to run out of the room when a familiar person walked in. "You're awake!" A cheery voice said. It was Rose. She's part of the merchants guild, the Sparrowfeathers. She was dressed in assassin attire. After a long explanation and suddenly being hit by her, we were on the same page.
"So...you're telling me that you have Seraphim as friends and one is missing. You want to go out and find her?" She asked. I nodded. "Let's do this!" She chanted. I sighed in relief that she would let us leave even though we now know her secret. "Thank you, Rose," I said as we all left, along with a new Seraphim with us. Apparently, he controls wind and his name's Dezel. The first town we came to was Marlind, which was still plagued. With help from Rose, we were able to arrive without much trouble.
We walked around the town calling for Kikyo. It would be much easier if other people could see Seraphim. With no luck, we didn't find her and moved on to another town that was close by. Our last stop of the day was Lastonbell.
"I hope she's here..." I whisper. "Let's split up. It'll be easier to find her that way," Lailah suggested. "Yeah. Rose, stay here. We'll be back," I said. "Roger that!" She leaned against a building and started messing with her daggers. My first stop was the cathedral.
~Kikyo's POV~
After waking up on the battlefield, I wandered all the way to Lastonbell. I was hoping to find Sorey or anybody else. I found myself relaxing and staring at the sun that was about to set. I've been sighing the whole time. I leaned my arm against a small wall and rested my chin on my palm. As I kept watch, more stars started to appear and decorated the sky.
"I best get some rest somewhere..." I mutter. Before I left, I looked down and saw a familiar shocked face. My breath hitched in my throat and I couldn't say a thing. Sorey was staring at me with his jade eyes. He snapped out of it and ran up the steps to me.
"Sore-" I was cut short by his arms wrapping around me and pulling me close to him. "I finally found you..." He whispered in my ear. I felt my worry melt away as I nuzzled my cheek into his chest. Tears were running down my face. "I-I was afraid
t-that I wasn't going to s-see you again," I cried. He stroked my red hair with his gentle hand. "I would never stop looking for you," he said softly. I cried more, but I was silenced when Sorey kissed me. I don't know how long the kiss lasted, but I didn't want it to end. We broke apart and Sorey leaned his forehead against mine. He gave me another quick kiss on the lips and we kept holding each other."Lets go find the others. They've been worried sick about you too." He held my hand and guided me down the steps. "Were you the one who was worried the most?" I asked curiously. Every though I couldn't see his face, I could see his ears were turning red. I giggled and ran in front of him. He stopped suddenly and I jumped up and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you for finding me, Sorey."
