My Armor clanks with every footstep. I was rattling and hoofing it through the battlefield. Rifle flashes and explosion reflect of my shiny silver chest plate. The bullets whiz past my exposed head, it gave me the adrenaline i needed keep moving. " Leo!! Flank to the left, they have no where left to run...let's end this!!" I shouted to my eldest friend.

Leo; He was such a strong paladin, Stronger than i'd ever become. He was the only person besides the original Legionnaire to wield The Dawnbreaker. This legendary sword has been deemed a God level weapon capable of Killing Forsaken lords in one blow....simply amazing. As we charge i admire the sword's 7ft clear crystal blade. The hilt was golden with guards crafted to look like an Angel's wings. Even though he had not been able to fully unleashed the swords potential he tried. Such determination in those golden brown eyes of his, it matched the prideful fluttering of his light brown hair.

Both of my Hands clasped around my swords hilt, i bring the blade from my side and point it forward. It was twelve grey knights feet away, they stood guard over a mound of mangle corpses.
Time slows and i lance one of them. My silver blade sinks like a stone into his chest. A crimson sea burst through his his paper thin Chest plate, i rip upward and split through him. In my peripherals is see the spike of a halberd thrust at my side. I jump up and land on the staff, running down the wooden pole i bring the blade across the knights neck. I land crouched behind him waiting for the "THUMP" of his head falling onto the bloodstained earth.

I look over my shoulder to check on Leo's progress; He had his sword sticking through three knights. Their armor was glowing orange with heat and smoke poured from the cracks of that hollow armor. " Return to the dust so the worms may devour you" He spat, pulling his sword from the incinerated bodies. I stood up to look for the other knights but they were all molten iron and ash now. A look of tranquility returned to our faces. From the riflemen on the hill to the remaining foot soldiers in the field of corpses, there was a cheer. The battle was over and we could turn back for the kingdom.... Or so we thought.

"Bless the fallen gods brother. It is done, that was quick work of them." I say putting my hand on leo's shoulder.
"Indeed seth, but for army of ten thousand were was their commander?. It was all footmen and a few archers...have the Gretheans really fallen this low." His voice trailing off into thought. We sheath out swords and stroll uphill to reunite with the rest of our forces. A Messenger bolts at us from out the blue reaching into the folds of his clothes for a parchment. "COMMANDER SETH ELSING AND GENERAL LEO VAN KIRK, I HATH A MESSAGE FOR THEE." The small pale man calls out. "What say you, why hath you come?" Leo interjects snatching the parchment. "If you come for a battle report, say to the king we are victorious!" He proclaims. Before the messenger could say anything further, the sky turns grey and a chilling breeze rolls in.

At the bottom of the hill a black smoke rises from the dead. As if a million locust were zipping overhead, as static buzzing filled the air. The pitch black smog swirls into three black orbs. The orbs crackle with an ominous magical energy. Out from the black masses step three figures in Silvery black armor. One was a 8ft tall and slim humanoid with no face and large metallic bat wings. The second figure was a knotted up woman using a rusted halberd as a cane. The final figure seemed to be the of great power. He was a 12ft tall Knight with a hole in the center of his chest plate. Slick tendrils of darkness seethed within it, at was if a shadow inhabited the suit.

" I am the Dark knight Ambrigo, these are my Elite guard." The Monolith boomed, his harsh voice coming from the hole in his chest. " We have come for the sword and nothing else" . He draws his sword and points it towards Leo; before any commands could be issued a cannon shot tore through the knotted woman's head.

Ambrigo looks off to the corpse then directly into my eyes. Although i could not see his face i could tell he was peering at me through that griddle like visor. The static in the picks up as the knights thin hand reaches for his sheathed great sword. He raises the massive seemingly rusted sword into the sky and plunges it into the ground. There was some sort of greenish shock wave that blasted outward and after i seemed to be upside down in the air. Around me were troops, floating artillery and rocky debris. I looked up to see the ground but all that was left was a dark chasm.

"Leo take care ambrigo i got the winged one...be safe brother" i said as gravity began to drags us on back to earth. He nods and does an arial dive straight for Ambrigo. "Where is my oppon-ACK". Streaming out from a cloud the blind Man-bat rammed into me. I gasp trying to keep the air in my lungs, the forsaken guard hoisted me high into the sky with his claw like feet. I look up into it's non-existent face with a hateful scorn. Underneath that leathery sky i saw something struggling to push itself free. Because it was holding me by my sides i had a hand free. My fist slams into where it's jaw should be and i hear a satisfying crack, My right hook followed up snapping his head back.

It struggles somehow letting out screeching sounds, and uses it's filthy hook nailed hands to pyre parts of my armor off. My blood sprays all over the beast's body. Those wicked nails ripping through my pale skin and into my soft flesh. I grab the hilt of my sword with my right hand while trying to hold his arms back with my left. "You're grounded you ugly bastard" i spit thrusting my silver blade into the center of his upper rib cage. The point comes out his back with a few spinal disk kabob'd on it. The forsaken goes limp and lets go just before we crash in a flaming field. On the ground bleeding out i roll over to see Leo fighting. The Dawnbreaker's flaming blade clashed with the massive cursed great sword. Ambrigo is deadly silent and move swift like a cat in the shadow of an alleyway. Each strike was countered sending sparks fluttering down like glowing rain.

A tendril shoots out the hole in Ambrigo's chest straight into Leo's chest and snatches out his heart. Immobilized and defeated all i could do was scream like a child. My roar echoed across the incinerated battlefield, it even silenced the raging fires for but a second. I watched Ambrigo stride over to the Dawnbreaker and reach out for it. The sword glowed a brilliant white color and turned into light, the light flowed into Leo's Right gauntlet. My vision steadily fading i saw the gauntlet vanish....Perhaps the legend is true. Only a Van Kirk can wield the Dawnbreaker which was forged by the first Van Kirk, Legionnaire himself. He Enchanted it so that it will automatically pass itself on but Leo never had children. He was supposedly last Van kirk, this can only mean there is another.... In the human realm.
