Wind pushing through her feathers as she falls through the sky. Why did she allow Jason to talk her into this? Skydiving on Halloween, seriously, it was foolish. Just her luck that one wing from her angel costume would affect her parachute, resulting in her free falling, screaming so hard that even the air slapping her face couldn't find an entrance into her lungs. The mere seconds felt like hours as her body started to drift into unconsciousness, each millisecond being a millennium as her body was hurdling down towards Earth's crust. The last thing she heard was Jason screaming her name. "VIVIAN!"

Black. That's all I could see when I woke up. Just everlasting darkness. I had no idea if I was standing or laying down; not to mention I had no idea where the hell I was. Then suddenly there was light pink, everywhere. "Good you're awake." said this tall African woman, sitting on a golden thrown that looked as if it were from a faerytale.

"It really isn't that great. Now we have to deal with her." Mumbled a very handsome male from the other side of the room. Neither of them could have been over thirty. Ignoring his comment the women began to speak.

"Vivian, I am God, and the man with the bad attitude is named Lucifer. You see, your parachute never opened three days ago when you went skydiving with your boyfriend, Jason. You died, and well you see-"

"You have no faith so you don't get a place in either Hell or the Pristine version of Hell," Lucifer said, cutting her off. The emphasis on her soft melodic voice significant in contrast to his deep scratchy one. "Basically, you get to go back to Earth, but not as a Mortal because no one, not even God has the power to send you back like that. The only way people get back is by both Her and I sending you."

I stand in confusion glancing between the two of them. "I understand. So what will happen when I go back?"

"Well Sweetie," God begins "you'll be an angel but not the type you find in either Heaven or Hell. In result to Lucifer and I having to mix our powers, you will be like the other Angels on Earth. A hybrid if I must specify. You'll look like a mortal but you'll have wings. Don't worry they won't be exposed unless you want them to be. Your mortal self will be completely different from the past you. It'll be the you that you wished to be. You'll see soon."

They both hold hands and start chanting words of an entirely new language, only to begin throwing different substances at me. God tossing flower petals and Lucifer throwing charred dead flower petals. "Good luck little butterfree." God whispers before I'm waking up at the park four blocks away from the house I'll never return to.
