Her nails scraped across the bricks of the building, her thirst aching to be quenched. She needed to feed for she had not fed in a while. Her eyes glanced to the now abandoned streets, making sure that there wasn't a soul in sight. She began to walk up the stairs of a nearby house, the boards lightly creaking underneath her feet. The most amazing scent lingered in the air as she slowly made her way to the door. Her hand touched the cool metal of the doorknob and as she turned it slowly, a smirk grew upon her face. She loved it when they didn't lock the door for it helped her keep her strength longer. She made her way into the living room, seeing a young man with dark brown hair and a young woman with chestnut colored hair that contained amber highlights sitting on the couch. There was not a glimpse of light, only the glow of the television screen lit up the room. She glanced at both of them before looking at the woman and smirking for she noticed that the woman had more of a tender and sweet smell to her.

Suddenly, in a swift but fast motion, she grabbed the woman and held her by her neck, lifting her and pinning her to the wall. Shocked and angered, the man got up and lunged at them but stopped abruptly, his eyes widening in fear. Falling to his knees, the man began to scream, holding his head in his hands. Her smirk widened as he writhed in pain, begging for his life. She twitched her hand and the man's head popped like a water balloon, blood and chunks splattering against the walls as the headless corpse fell to the ground. She looked back at the woman, taking in her delightful scent as her fangs itched to be released until she finally let them out. She watched the woman squirm and gasp for air, her blood red eyes glowing with excitement and delight.

"Don't worry," she said softly. "It will only hurt for a second." With that said, she leaned down and entered her fangs into the soft skin of her neck. The woman tried to hit her but she didn't flinch or move as she began to feed from her delicious blood. The woman's body soon became limp and she pulled out her fangs, looking into the woman's bright blue eyes. Grabbing her head, she quickly jerked it to the side and snapped her neck, dropping the lifeless body onto the floor. She turned and walked out, but before she left, she locked the door from the inside as she smirked. "You should always lock your door. Strangers could break in and you could be killed." She let out a soft, evil chuckle and turned on her heels, walking away from the house.
