Brooke Adams

                        Chapter 1

“Wow” I Exclaimed, I Was Finally Here, London. My Most Dreaded Place On Earth, I Heard A Lot About It On The Crime And Investigation Channel, Many People Die In This Place. “Brooke, Move It” My Mom Called Me from The Towering Building In front Of Her, My New School. I Ran In After My Mom.

        Hi, I’m Brooke Adams, Sixteen, Imperfect, Average Height and I’m Moving to another School in Year 11, In another Country.

        “So what’s My Baby’s Room Number?” My Mom Asked the Mean Looking Woman in the Dormitory, Yes I’m in The Dormitory. My Moms A Single Working Mom, Newly Divorced. “Mom, Don’t Embarrass Me” I Said as I Looked the Two Kids Snickering beside Me, The mean lady pointed me to my room, mom helped me take most of my things inside.

        I entered my new room and I saw a girl unpacking her box and I guessed she must be in this room with me. She turned round when she heard our footsteps probably, “Hello, My Names Lukundu but You Can Call Me Lu.” I thought she wasn’t in my grade but mom was way ahead of me, mom took her outstretched hand, and asked her what grade she was in, apparently she was in mine, what a coinkidink.  “Hi Lu, Mines Brooke Adams”.

        Mom helped with my things, arranged my things and it was time for her to start leaving, it felt like my heart was my about to burst out of my chest, “I’m going to call to you everyday okay, I’m going to miss you” Mom said, I hugged her, she got into the car and drove off with tears in her eyes.

                                CHAPTER 2

        I went back to my room and Lu already had everything done, so was I. I went over to my bed, it was then I realised the extra beds in the room, Lu noticed that I was looking at the bed, “We’re Going to be sharing beds with other people”, There were like 9 beds in the room, How can I share a room with 9 more people?, I thought.

        The mean looking woman came into the room “Hi, Lu... Brooke” She had a nice but tough voice “My name is Mrs Briggs, welcome to Abercrombie High”, “Thank You” Lu Replied with a smile, “Right now you have to go to the cafeteria for dinner” Lu and I nodded and left.

Abercrombie High wasn’t entirely a bad school, the view wasn’t puke worthy and all, Lu pointed out she wasn’t hungry, I wasn’t planning on eating either, we saw a gate leading to a grassy area, written on the gate was Abercrombie School Field, I Pushed open the gate, we both walked in, I saw at my right side a Basket-Ball court and right in front of me, was a Football Field, A Volley Ball Court, An indoor Swimming Pool, A Pond.

        A few hours later we went back to the dormitory, Mrs Briggs told us we had to go get ready for Prep, I picked my bag, I really had nothing to do, and I entered the High school which was right in front of the dormitory. I found a random class and sat down there.

        There was a girl sitting on a chair at the far east of the class, she saw me walked in and introduced herself as Stephanie, There was a boy sitting next to her, He introduced himself as Toby and then this really sun- tanned dark boy walked in, Toby turned round and whispered “That’s Adolf, he’s a pest” Adolf walked towards me “So what’s your name?” he put his hand on my chin, I moved his hand “Brooke Adams” There were a pair of black loafers on the floor, Adolf picked a leg and put it close to my nose, it reeked, I pushed it away from my face “Don’t do that” I said in my calmest voice, I mean for crying out loud I didn’t know this guy, I Stood up and adjusted my Grey Tee  and walked towards the door, I saw one leg flying over my head, I ducked, “What The Feathers?” Another leg came flying Also, I Looked At Him, He Was Smirking Like It Was Funny, I cocked my head to one side, is he demented I asked myself, I just ignored him and turned back at the door and I heard him cluck like a chicken, I ignored at first, He did it again, I picked up the left leg, “Show me what you’ve got little girl”, I took my aim and clocked him right in the forehead and he fell back “Whoa” Stephanie And Toby mouthed, Adolf stood up and stumbled out of the class, “Crazy”, He mumbled as he went out, Adolf ran into a tall boy outside the class, the dude hit Adolf twice and pushed him on the ground, And he walked into the class, “Who’s Brooke” He said, “Yeah?” He walked towards me, “Do you know that that was my shoe you were using to play Hopscotch?” He said in a stern voice, I wasn’t moved, “No, But the dude threw the shoe at me first” I said with my left eyebrow raised, he lifted his hand, as if to slap me, I cocked my head and gave a confused face, I still wasn’t intimidated, He put his arm down and walked out, “Lol, He’s Just Tall, That’s All” I said To Stephanie And Toby.

        Ten Minutes Later, he walked back into the class, “I’m sorry I slapped you, well almost” He pointed out with a smile, but I didn’t Smile Back, “No Biggie”, I replied, “My names Marilyn, Welcome To Aber”.

        That Night I Thought of Home, Marilyn Wasn’t Bad Looking.
