Chara grimaced slightly as Frisk tore up their gooey bandage, using the goo to stick the patches of bandage onto Chara's scratches, so they acted as sorts of plasters.

"Frisk, do you even know what this goo is?" Frisk paused, finishing the last gooey plaster before answering.

"Not a clue, but they should stay on for a while." They said with a smile. Chara pouted. "Anyway, why were you in such a hurry to get here?"

Chara paused. Should they tell Frisk the truth? They thought back to how Sans kept Papyrus in the dark for his own protection, and decided that would be the best choice for Frisk.

"Me and Sans spent a little too long at Grillbys, so I was in a bit of a hurry. Once I reached Sans' station I pretty much begged him to teleport me the rest of the way- these legs are brand new and I really didn't feel like losin' em so soon." Chara said with a slight chuckle.

Frisk snorted, quickly flushing as they realised the sound they had just made. Chara gulped, pulling their jumper up in an effort to hide the blush dusting across their face.

That should not have been so damn adorable.

Chara noticed that Frisk was currently rummaging through a tuft of tall grass. "Uhh.. Frisk?" Chara raised their eyebrow slightly, watching them with confusion displayed clearly on their face.

Frisk emerged from the grass, dirt smeared slightly across their face- something that again, should not have been so damn adorable- and thrust their closed hand toward Chara.

"Ta-Da!" Frisk grinned. "This should solve your problems- plus, they're adorable." Chara took the item in Frisks hand, and felt silken material touch their palms.

"Ballet shoes?" Chara furrowed their brow. "Yeah. I know they're not ideal- and don't worry, I don't expect you to be doing any ballet, but I don't think walking around barefoot is the best idea." Chara chuckled slightly and sat down, slipping the shoes on and trying to work out how the ribbons worked.

Frisk moved their hands aside. "Here let me." Chara watched in awe as Frisk tied the ribbons with skillful ease.

"How'd you know how to do that?" Chara asked, standing up and taking Frisk's hand. Despite the fact they had held hands so much lately, it didn't stop the spark of electricity that ran through their fingertips every time they touched.

They walked onward as Frisk replied, "well, I took a ballet class once. It wasn't really my thing, so I quit." Frisk murmured, and Chara knew immediately that there was a different reason that Frisk only took one class, but out of respect for the others privacy, they chose not to pry.

After a few confrontations with some of the common Waterfall monsters, they reached a large wooden bridge of sorts. It stretched far ahead, further than the eye could see.

To the left were stone pillars, towering high to support the ceiling.

There was a glint of yellow, when suddenly, an armour clad being emerged.

"Fuck!" Chara cursed, breaking into a sprint along the bridge as spears began to rain down from where Undyne followed them.

Chara felt themselves fall, almost in slow motion, and watched as one of the spears came uncomfortably close to Frisk's head.

Their own head smacked of the ground, their fall tearing the bandages slightly. Chara scrambled to their feet. "Frisk, go on ahead! I'll distract her!" Chara yelled as they slid out of the way of another spear.
