A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and His Dragon: Book 2

Chapter 9:

With the direction of Karai, Raph, Donnie and Mikey flew her miles away from the city, only dropping her when they reached a chain of islands.

Flame held Karai down with one paw as the three turtles dismounted their dragons.

" Get this monster off of me! " Karai shouted at Raph.

" Sorry princess " Raph spoke as he tied a cloth around her mouth to keep her from speaking. " Flame doesn't like it when you take his toys, thanks for the direction though... " 

And with that, Raph led Donnie and Mikey up a slight hill, leaving the dragons behind to watch Karai.

Once they reached the top of the hill, the three brothers ducked, looking down at an army of huge ships surrounding bubbling water. 

" Whoa, Karai wasn't kidding! It really is an army... " Donnie commented.

" Dudes...maybe we should have waited for Leo and Master Splinter " Mikey replied, glancing at Raph.

Raph rolled his eyes as he watched the water bubbling in the middle of all the ships.

" What's down there Donnie? "

Donnie looked at the water. " I have no idea...maybe another dragon like the one Shredder had? " he suggested.

Flame suddenly sniffed the air and stood up, roaring. The three turtles turned just in time to see Nuka fly off before foot ninjas appeared, shooting darts at the remaining two dragons.

The darts hit Manic and Flame, making them fall over. Karai freed herself just as the ninjas surrounded her and the turtles.

Raph was ready to fight, drawing his sai.

" Raph, theres too many of them... " Donnie whispered as he and Mikey put his hands up in surrender.

Raph growled and looked at Flame, who was sleeping on the ground. He sighed and dropped his weapons, putting his hands up.

The ninjas led the group to the ship closest to the bubbling water, chains led deep down into the black water and a figure stood at the front of the ship, looking down into the water. 

" Calm yourself! " He shouted at the water. He was dressed in armour similar to the Shredders, but a black scaly cape hung around his shoulders.

Raph, Donnie and Mikey looked around. Dragons covered in armour stood on every ship, their eyes drained of all hope and happiness.

Two armoured dragons were pulling cages with Flame and Manic sleeping inside. Nuka had not be captured and Mikey feared for his dragons safety. 

" Master Khan! " Karai spoke as she bowed and the ninjas leading the turtles forced them to bow as well.

As Khan approached, the ninjas took away both the turtles and Karai's weapons. 

Karai glared at the ninjas. " What is the meaning of this? " 

The two armoured dragons looked away and bowed as Khan passed them.

" ...You...have brought me the turtles? And these two pathetic Dragons? You dared to show them our plans! I at least hope that for your sake...you finished off Leonardo and brought me the rare dragon... " Khan spoke.

Karai looked down. " ...I...have not...I was forced to take these turtles here... "

Khan growled and pushed Karai down to the ground. " You are pathetic! The Shredder did everything right raising you in his own image! And you have failed to prove your worth! " he drew a katana from his side, pointing it at her. " You have failed me for the last time Karai! "

Karai shielded herself, waiting for the pain, but a roar suddenly erupted from above.

Nuka dropped down in front of Karai, knocking the katana from Khan with his tail. He shot fire at Khan, who simply shielded himself with his cape, the fire not even touching his skin. 

The turtles eyes widened.

Nuka stood in front of Karai and roared.

Khan growled at him and suddenly started shouting, roaring in his own style.

Nuka flinched as Khan approached him, continuing to yell and roar until Nuka bowed down to him out of fear. 

" Tranq him! " Khan ordered the foot ninjas, who shot more darts at Nuka.

" No! " Mikey shouted as he watched the orange tinged dragon fall to the ground.

Karai stared wide eyed at Nuka. She couldn't believe this dragon had just saved her after she had tried to capture it and take it to Khan.

Khan turned to the turtles. " These dragons belong to me now! "

" You can't do that! " Donnie shouted. 

Khan laughed, walking over to the cage Manic was in and plucking a handful of his feathers off. " You turtles have no idea what your getting into. You ride these dragons, yet you barely know anything about them...for instance, this feathered cloud jumper can survive extreme cold despite being cold blooded... " he moved on to Flame. " This horned fire monster produces more fire than any other dragon, but has a water weakness...and this..." he walked back over to Nuka. " Orange speed demon is the fastest known dragon in the world... " Khan chuckled. " You turtles are merely riders on their backs...you don't know anything of their true power...or what it means to control them... "

Mikey and Donnie looked down shamefully, but Raph glared at Khan. " We may not know a whole lot about them, but Leo does...he's the best dragon rider and trainer their is...there isn't a dragon around that won't listen to whatever he says... " he spoke.

Donnie and Mikey looked at Raph. " What are you doing Raph? " Donnie whispered.

Raph ignored him. " Face it Khan, Leo and Nazo took out Shredder. Leo's got the rarest dragon of them all! You and your whole army mean nothing! "

Khan glared at Raph. " We shall see how much of a real dragon master he is... " he spoke before turning away from them.

" Foot ninja! " He shouted. " Finish your preparations! We move out to dragon island! Tonight! And no dragon rider or Leonardo will stop us! First! We take the Alpha! Then! Their army of dragons! And finally, Shredder's city will be the Foots once again! " 

The foot ninjas cheered.

Khan glared at Karai and the turtles. " Take them away! And take the dragons to the holding ships! " he ordered.

Foot ninjas dragged Karai and the turtles from their dragons, and Khan ignored the turtles yells for their dragons, turning again to watch the bubbling water.

" ...I'm coming for you...Leonardo... "
