I press the doorbell and wait for a few seconds, before an abnormally tall lad who looks my age opens it. He's quite attractive too, but probably boring as heck. Well. Let's see, shall we?
I put a fake smile on my face.
'Hi, my name's Lena. I'm moving in next door and thought i'd come and introduce myself!'
He smiles at me and I see his deep brown eyes peer out kindly from under his fringe. 'Hello Lena, I'm Dan. Dan Howell.'
Another voice interrupts, a slightly higher voice but unmistakeably a mans voice.
'Daaan! Where did you leave the Mario Kart? Chris and Peej are coming soon and they want to play!'
Dan chuckles lightly and calls back.
'IT'S NEXT TO THE DVD STAND!' then he turns back to me. 'That's Phil. He's my best friend and roommate.'
I nod and smile and then there's an awkward pause. 'So, um, do you want to come in for a coffee or something?'
I sigh internally. God, I hate talking to these people. They all seem so...same-y. All like the same clothes, same looks, just same mundane personalities. It gets rather repetitive after a while of doing this.
While i'm thinking all this on the inside, outside I nod and smile again.

Dan's POV
BRRRING BRRINNNG
Ugh, that doorbell is the single most annoying thing on the planet aside from all the other very annoying things. I slide my overheating laptop off of my lap and go to answer it. When I open the door, i'm quite pleasantly surprised to see a girl around my age standing there a little awkwardly. She has pale blonde, nearly white hair naturally resting in soft waves around her pale heart shaped face. Her eyes take my attention for a second; like everything about her, they're delicately and prettily pale, a faded blue ringed with surprisingly dark lashes. She isn't hot. She's strangely beautiful.
She tells me her name is Lena and that she's next door, so I invite her in for a coffee. She smiles and comes in to the apartment where I tell her to make herself comfortable, so she sinks into the squishy couch while I get the coffee machine out, making small talk whilst doing so.
'If you don't mind me asking, what brought you to London?'
'Oh, you could say i'm here on business?' she sounds a bit vague.
'Cool, what kind of business?' I ask, trying not to seem like i'm a detective figuring out her alibi.
'Um, kind of to do with helping people I guess.'
'Oh, like a carer, kind of?'
'Yeah. Kind of.'
We chat for a bit and I tell her about my YouTube and radio show. Although my future with them isn't all too certain, really, but we chat for a while then she has to go.
'It was nice meeting you, Lena. You should um, come again sometime? If you want to.'
She laughs. 'Sure. You too, Dan.'
Then she's gone and it's back to worrying about the rest of my life again. fun fun fun fun
