It was a cold night, the roads covered in snow, Christmas lights hanging from everyone's house, guys dressed in Santa suits ringing bells, and taking donations for some charity, in a couple house through their windows I could see that they put up and decorated their Christmas trees. Finally I arrived to my parents house, so I slowly pulled up into my parent's drive anxious to see how everyone has changed. I thought to my self.

Its been 2 years since I've seen my brother, and parents. I've called them now and then, but today for some odd reason they did not pick up their phones. As I turned off my car, I slowly got out, closing the car door behind me. Slowly I made my way to the front door, thinking to myself this years going to be the best... Sadly I was wrong.

I knocked on the door three times before I realized the door was unlocked so I decided to let my self in. I walked in, closed the door behind me and yelled while I hung my coat on the hanger by the door. "Everyone, I am home!" No one answered. "Hello, is anyone home.?" I yelled again as I ran up the stairs into my parents room. Their room was the last door on the left down the right hallway.

As soon as I reached their bedroom door, I stopped softly knocking on the closed door. Not knowing if they were awake or asleep. He knows when your sleeping, he knows when your awake, I thoughts letting a small laugh escape my lips. I stood behind the close door 5 minutes pasted by with no reply. I opened their door to find my dad sleeping on his bed, mom was gone though. Probably just missed her, I thought as I made my way to his side of the bed. A red velvetie liquid pooled around his motionless body. "Dad? Dad, wake up." I placed my hand on his shoulder, I applied enough presser to roll him over. "O my god!" I yelled I took two steps away from the bedside.

What lied before me cause my body to fall weak. My dad's body looked as if a wild animal had him for dinner like he was a hunck of ham. Blood escaped through the large slash across his neck, and wrist covering him in the red metalic liquid. Smaller scrathces covered the rest of his body. My heart raced as I began to panic, thoughts raced through my mind. Where's mom? Where's Jason? I thought. I ran through out the house yelling out there names. "Mom, Jason?!"

I then ran  to my brothers room also finding him lying on his bed. "Jason," I yelled as I ran up to his bedside. "Jason, dads dead and I cant find mom!" I yelled while I rolled him over to find the red marks that wrapped around his neck. Slowly I began to walk backwards, until my back met the cold wall. This wasn't really happing. I then fell to my butt and started to cry. "Why, god what did I do to deserve this?" Suddenly out of know where loud crash escaped the vent in the floor that sat inches away from me. I jumped to my feet and thought to my self. What in the hell was that? Oh my god, she is in the basement!

Quickly I ran down to the basement. Running down the twist and turns of the many hallways through out the house. As I made it to the door I flung it open without any hassation, Quickly ran down the stairs skipping everyother steps, and found myself in the backroom. It was my mom she was lying on the ground, a rope tied around her neck. The rope connecting to a pole that look to have fallen from one of the pipes on the ceiling.

I ran over to my moms side finding that she was still barley alive. I pulled out my phone and dialed 911. "911, what's your emergency?" the operator said in a monotone voice.

"Their dead! Their dead!" I cried into the phone.

"Sir, who's dead?" the operator said again.

"My father and brother, but my mom is still barley alive!" I said while I grabbed my mom's hand.

"Okay sir, stay on the line the police, and ambulance are on their way. I drooped my phone a pulled my mother on to my lap.

"Mom everything is going to be okay." I said while I brushed her curly blond hair out of her face.

"I know, but Jayse promise me one thing." she hesitated on the last word. "Promise you'll find the person that done this." I looked into her beautiful brown eyes.

"I promise." after I finished my sentence the police busted through the front door. " I'm down here in the basement!" I yelled. A police officer spotted us and yelled.

"I found the survivors!" Two officers and the paramedics ran quickly down the old wooden stairs to our side. As soon as the paramedics go to our side I fell to my back, and everything went blurry, then faded to black.

I woke up in a hospital room, slowly I sat up to see that their was an officer sitting in a chair in the front corner of the room. "Son I got some bad news." the officer said while he walked towards my bed. "Your mom died in the ambulance on their way hear, but they found this note." The officer said while he laid a folded white piece of paper on the night stand next to the hospital bed,  then he walked out. I stared at the folded pice of paper wondering what message was written for me. Could it be from my killer, or from my mother who probably had enough time to write something down. I  hessitated before I  picked up the note and unfolded it to find...
