It was all happening too fast. The events of the past two days all leading up to this seemed surreal and all so rushed. I felt as though I was drowning in the midsts of chaos.

I continued with the rushed yet gentle kiss Alec was giving me only because I truly believed this was a dangerous situation. He seemed to be enjoying himself but he was hesitant to deepen the kiss anymore than he had.

My body wanted to gag at the action I was doing. It was thoroughly upset that I was kissing the murderer of four girls, no, more. My body began to shake beneath of Alec, both from fear and an overdose of emotions.

"You imbecile!" The voice scares me and I gasp for air. Alec straightens and his grey eyes meet mine, a glint of both fear and malice showing. I wasn't sure how any sane person could hold such emotions at the same time. "You know the rules-"

I don't know whether or not to take my eyes off of Alec. His stare is burning me, but I'm afraid to see who else is behind this game. I never would have imagined that someone was working with or above Alec. My brain wouldn't allow me to think of that.

I was solely focused on surviving and not getting on Alec's bad side. It turns out I should have been trying to lay low at all costs because there were even more people behind this. No wonder it was so well done.

"Yes, I am well aware of the rules." Alec says simply, his eyes never leaving me. I hear footsteps and my brain is wheeling while panic is starting to crawl up my bones. My eyes are frozen on Alec and I'm trying so hard to look away, but it's as though he was locking me in place.

"Then you know what I'm going to have to do to her." I swallow and Alec sighs, closing his eyes and releasing me from the wicked spell he had on me. My hands gripped the bed sheets as if preparing myself for an extreme amount of pain. Alec slipped off of me and only then did I allow myself to look at the intruder.

I was startled, thinking I was looking at Alec, but this one had blue eyes. Shaking my head, I sat up and stared more intently. He was the spitting image of Alec, but his eyes were such a stark blue. I pulled the covers from my body and stood, stepping forward as the copy looked back at me.

The copy stood tall, broad shouldered, and had the thick but fit body Alec bore. I saw the light hair, in messy tousles on his head just as Alec styled his own hair. His face was clean cut, with a sharp jawline and accentuated cheekbones. He had thick eyebrows, dark, which only making his eyes more of a prominent blue. I was in shock as I watched the cold eyes look at me even as Alec's had.

"Alexander." Alec's voice cuts through my thoughts and I stand in plain fear. Alec has a twin, his twin's name is Alex and Alex wants to hurt me. This is not good. "She's innocent, this was my-"

"I don't care. This is unforgivable! You know we can't-" Alexander was infuriated but I saw Alec straighten immediately. I backed up when I saw my guard at the door, smiling with such a satisfied grin I wanted to strangle him. These men were all powerful in their own right, and here I was, broken body, broken spirit, and no hope of escaping.

"You know we can't let her go. She's already seen too much and-"

"Well the only reason she saw too much was because you showed yourself to her." Alec argues smoothly. My throat is going dry and I haven't even said anything.

"I wouldn't have if you would've listened to the-"

"I'm the one who set the rules." Alec snarls, he's stepping closer to me and I would rather be next to him than Alex. I know Alec, I don't know Alexander.

The enemy you know is better than the one you don't.

"I'm the one who enforces them." Alex's voice, I realize, is a bit deeper than Alec's. It's colder. "Now, Austen Grey, you have committed several violations-"
