Devil's Touch?

Chapter one

    I could hear the beeping of a device far into my mind, the sound got louder and louder by the second. My eyes open quickly as I realize the loud beeping sound was the device which I hated with a strong passion, my alarm clock. I had set it extremely early since today I had a meeting with one of the most eligible bachelors CEO in the world. So this meant I had to get up extra early to prepare. I lazily stood up from my bed and went to my bathroom to clean myself up. I undressed myself and climbed into my crystal bathtub which the water was already very warm and much to my delight. 30 minutes later I was ready to head to my office. I double checked my make-up and exited my penthouse.

    Morning Miss. Preston, I heard my workers  greet me as I walked into the successful business and my very own "Pres-Com"
I brushed them off my nodding to them and headed straight for my office. I entered my office to be greeted my P.A Charlotte Gris, she was a very beautiful blonde with an incredible IQ and was very good at her job. The only problem was she often slept around with random guys but I didn't tell her I knew this since she was a single mother who needed to provide for her 4 year old son.

"How is Elijah?" I inquired about her son. She looked at me with puzzled since I didn't usually ask her about her personal life. "He's great." She answered slowly "he's very smart, handsome and has grown so much." She said with proud eyes. I chuckled and nodded at her.

   "I got everything you need for your flight to Rome, and all the papers involving the agreement with Mr. Argent." Charlotte explained. "Great! Are you ready to leave?" I inquired making sure that she had every paper I needed for this meeting, since it was very important and I needed to Cooperate with the  Argent for the growing of my business. "Yes."She replied and we headed straight for the roof top for our flight.

"Morning ms Preston!" Exclaimed my personal pilot, Dave Bakings, "Morning Dave." I nodded.

After 15 long hours of listening to music, reading and a couple of short naps, we arrived at the breath taking, old fashion city of Rome. I loved the view of the magical place. The way the houses were built, made it looked like a real life, fairy tale kingdom. Everything about this place fascinates me. I was in love with how the light shone in the dark, how they gave life to place. I love how the people are so friendly and their senses of fashion is to die for. I was basically in love with everything about Rome.

   When the plane landed I was immediately asked to step out and three big, gigantic things in man figures with big arms and faces completely serious, I think the correct thing to say was that they were human being who had time to work out. "We will be leading you to the limousine parked in front and from there you will be taken to your Mansion Ms.Preston" I heard one of my securities explain to me.

   As soon as I reached to my Rome mansion. Charlotte and I quickly started going over the papers again. "Edward Argent company is the most successful business in Rome and entire Europe, he started from nothing and came from a very poor family like you did miss." Charlotte started explaining to me. "He's wife died while giving birth to their now 24 years old son Christian, who is to be the next CEO of Argent's shipping company." She proceed, "Also he is kind of a savage, he believes that the people of the world are starving for more money and that's why he runs his business himself with no Co-manager."

    I knew all this information since I already did my research but I wasn't going to shut her up. "He also believes that woman shouldn't run big business and that when they do they never succeed." Now this I didn't know. "Is that right?" I said while smirking "well he better watch out for Veronica Preston because she is coming his way."
