A boy and a girl, they say "hello,"
and then right after, one must leave, and one must go.
The boy to science, the girl to math,
all the while, they suffer the wrath
of missing the other,
but they show no signs
as they write their lines
in English.
To lunch they scurry,
in quite a hurry,
to sit with their posse;
the boy to the skaters, the girl to the goths.
They secretly stare from afar,
while the lunchroom door stands ajar,
waiting for the teens to leave.
To History, they both go,
and once again, they say "hello."
Then the girl to music, the boy to wood,
both wishing they could
be together, as one.
The bell rings as it's always done;
time to go.
But neither know,
they've made the others' day
with that one little thing
they each decided to say.
