Ally's POV

I walked through the doors of my high school. It was my senior year and summer had just ended. I can't say that I am thrilled summer is over but going back to school meant seeing people I haven't seen over the vacation which was always nice. I wouldn't consider myself popular like others do. I'd say I know a lot of people and get along with everybody. I'm a social butterfly that loves to make new friends.

I take my schedule out and look down at it as I walk down the hallway. I'm not paying attention to where I was going and bump into someone. It was Dinah Jane. She was the kid in school that people hated but had no choice but to talk to them. Always flirting and very charming but gets away with too much. Clearly she meant to bump into me. "Well, well, well, look who we have here. Ms. Ally Hernandez." She smirked. I rolled my eyes. "So what's up, babe." She said. I made a face, mocking her. She pulled me over to the side and had me up against the lockers. She was leaning on them with her arm hovering over me. "What do you want?" I scolded at her. "Oh what? I can't have a decent conversation with a fellow classmate of mine? Huh?" She pouted. I rolled my eyes again. "No, Dinah. You can't." I said. She glared at me for a second them continued. "You still dating that tool?" She asks lifting her chin up, motioning towards me. "You mean 'Troy' and yes I am." I said looking up at her caused by the visible height difference. "Why? He's such a loser, Ally!" She said throwing her head back in annoyance. "What? And you aren't?" I threw at her. "So you agree, he's a loser." She said, twisting my words. "No, that's not what I said. I said you are." I said while poking her chest indicating that I was talking about her. She rolled her eyes and locked them on Troy, my boyfriend, who was down the hall, talking to his friends. I looked in the direction of her gaze and spotted him. I didn't want him to see me like this so I pushed Dinah off of me which caught her off guard. He saw me then finished his conversation and walked towards me. He smiled and I smiled and waved. He came up to me and hugged me then kissed me. I didn't close my eyes and looked at Dinah who was looking away from the interaction. The truth is I don't have feelings for Troy anymore. Things changed this summer. I don't know what exactly changed but I don't feel the same way.

Dinah cleared her throat which made Troy pull away. He really didn't like Dinah because she's always flirting with me but he always tries to make it go unnoticed. Dinah on the other hand doesn't care. She hates Troy but I don't know why. He greeted her and waved but she glared at him. "Ok then." He said. She looked down at me. "I'll talk to you later, Ally" she said. "Please don't." I teased. She then glared at me which I thought was kinda hot. Dinah's really attractive and often sexy and i'm not afraid to admit it.

~3rd period~

So Dinah happens to be in my class which bothers yet excites me, if that makes sense. I take a seat in the second to last row with kids in the seats surrounding me so Dinah couldn't sit near me. She noticed me and got up. She nudged the kid that was sitting in front of me. "Get up." She said . "Don't do it, mani" I said to her, looking up at Dinah. Normani was a sweet girl and really cool. "Get up or I'll kick your ass." She said sternly. "Don't listen to her." I said back. We kept going back and forth about three more times. Normani seemed really confused and didn't know what to do. She finally gave in and sat up and grabbed her bag. Dinah claimed the seat in front of me. The girl turned to me. "I'm sorry ally." She said sounding sincere. "Don't worry it's not your fault." I said forgiving her. Dinah turned around fully and threw her legs over the sides of the chair and leaned on the back part. "Hey baby" she said and winked at me. "So we have a class together. I guess it's fate." She said sighing. "Shut up." I said to her and took out my supply's. "So me, you, my house, Friday night at 8?" She said quickly. "No." I said coldly. "Ouch. Rejected for the-" she drew numbers in the air and mumbled equations that led to nothing, pretending to figure out how many times I have rejected her "68th time." She said. "Hey 69 times a charm." She smirked. Before I could get a word put the bell rang and the teacher walked in. "Saved by the bell." She said pointing in the air.
