*Your POV*

I woke up to the morning sun. When it rises, the light shines in my bedroom. It heats up my room. I get up and take a shower. Then I wrap myself and my hair in a towel and brush my teeth. I go to my room and put on some clothes then dry my hair and comb it out. I eat breakfast then decide to check my phone. 10:39 in the morning. I might as well make a video. Since I'm home alone, I decide to make a song cover. I do a cover of The Man who can't be Moved. I post it and start playing some games.

I soon start to get hungry again. It's now 1:12 so I suppose I could have lunch. I can't go out because we barely have any money so I scavenge for food in here. After I finally find something and eat it, I go for a walk. I started searching for my earbuds but then realize, I lost them. I'll live without them for now...

As I walk outside, I notice those three kids from last night. They're riding bikes and glaring at me. The roads are busy during the day so I have to be careful. I walk to the corner where I bumped into Michael to search for my earbuds. They're nowhere to be found. I give up trying and head to the park. It's quite filled today. I climb a tree to get away from all the people and sit up there on my phone for a while. I start to get hungry and head home to eat. Today's been pretty chill so far. After I eat, I screw around on my computer until it gets dark. I like going to the park when it's dark because no one's there. I grab my keys and head out after locking the door.

When I get to the park, I sit at the base of the tree I climbed earlier and look out on the lake. It's beautiful and I can see the night sky with the moon and stars in the reflection. After a few minutes I heard a leaf crunch behind me. I immediately jump and turn around and look up at the figure.

S- "sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.... What are you doing out here alone?"

That voice.... It was Michael's.

Y- "it's fine, I normally come here at this time of night... That way I don't have to deal with people."
M- "oh you don't like people? I'll just leave then."
Y- "you can stay if you'd like. I wouldn't mind dealing with you."
M- "oh thanks"

*Michael's POV*

I was walking by the park at the normal time I walk and I notice someone sitting by the tree. I can see her light blue hair by the light of the moon, it almost looks silvery. I watch her skip rocks on the lake for a minute then I decide to walk up. I accidentally stepped on a leaf, causing it to crunch under my shoe and scare her. She quickly turned around and I apologized and asked why she was out here alone. She said she doesn't like people so I joked about leaving. She actually offered for me to stay. Of course, I took up the offer. As I sat down next to her, she started a conversation.

Y/n- "so... Why do people talk bad things about you?"
M- "they're just rumors. People don't like how I act. Plus, people around here are rude in the first place."
Y/n- "ah, I see... What brings you here?"
M- "here as in the park or here as in Washington?"
Y/n- "here as in the park"
M- "Oh well, I was just walked past and noticed you sitting here alone. I got curious and decided to come see if you wanted any company."
Y/n- "well... That was very kind of you. I don't get a lot of company considering my brother works a lot and he doesn't have any animals."
M- "well, what about friends? Don't you have any friends?"
Y/n- "I did... Once.... But they stabbed me in the back and I never really trusted anyone after that."
M- "do you trust me?"

*Your POV*

After a little while of talking he brings up friends. I tell him the truth, of course, and say I don't really trust anyone anymore. Then he takes me by surprise and asks me if I trust him. I didn't know what to say and I panicked.

Y- "uhh... Yeah."
M- "I understand that you're unsure because we just met"
Y- "Yeah... I am a little unsure. Plus, my older brother told me not to talk to you, I hate to say..."
M- "I don't blame him with how much he must hear from other people."
Y- "lets change the subject."
M- "alright. I know this sounds odd, but how old are you?"
Y- "that's not the oddest I've heard. I'm 17... How about you?"
M- "20. Don't you go to school?"
Y- "uhh... No. I dropped out..."
M- "Understandable...."

Michael and I talked for a bit and got to know each other a bit better. Then he walks me home and we plan to do this every night and that same tree. When I walk inside and my older brother isn't there so I just go to bed after eating and dream of Michael. He really isn't what people say he is.

*Michael's POV*

Y/n and I talked for a while then I walked her home. As I start walking home I put my hand in my pocket and feel something. "Crap! I forgot to give these back" I say to myself. Maybe I should go back? No... That makes me seem desperate. I'll just give them to her tomorrow night when we planned to meet at that same exact tree around midnight. I go home and put her earbuds on my dresser and go straight to bed, thinking of her, which makes me smile.
