Chapter 1: Stephanie's POV

'Ugh, spring break is over, back to work' I think while walking through RSMH (Ruby Steel Mental Hospital). When I reach my desk I grab the folder that my boss always drops off at my desk every morning. I look at the papers in the folder to see who my patients are for today.

-Rosalynn Mareal

Rosalynn Mareal? 'She must be new.' I make a mental note to go to her after talking to my boss at lunch. I walk to my first patient's room. When I get to his room, I see him running around the plant I gave him screaming some words I can't make out. "Hey Garrett, how are you doing today??" I say as I sit in the chair by his bed "Can you please sit or lay on your bed?" I ask politely. He stops and looks at me for a moment, then screams.
"Ok, no talk today, calm down and I'll leave." I say firmly and he calms down immediately. I leave his room and go to my next two patients, Sarah Fancher and Leslie McOlts. (They are both doing very good so they share a room.) "Can I take the test thing today to see if I can start visits?" Sarah asks me after a couple of minutes of us three talking. "Well if that's something you want to do, and Leslie you seem ready too if you want to with her?" I say and Leslie nods (yes). "Okay well I will write your test slips. See you two tomarrow to help you pack or for another session." I say as I get up and leave. I walk back to my office and write them their test slips and walk to my boss's office. I hand the slips and Rosalynn's file to my boss, Anna Gerald, and say; "Hi Anna! How has your day been going??" She looks up at me and nods. (Anna is kinda quiet.) "That's good. Sarah Fancher and Leslie McOlts are doing very good and I think they are ready to take the ILT and possibly start family visits." I say confidently. "Very well, I will visit them after lunch and see if they are ready. Now why did you give me the file for Rosalynn Mareal??" She says and picked up her file. "I've never met with her before and you or Karen usually email me when I have a new patient, about their back story and stuff." I say hesitantly. "Oh, yes. Sorry about that. I will have Karen do that durring lunch." She says. "Okay thank you." I smile and leave to go eat my lunch in my office. When I finish eating, I get an email from Karen (Anna's assistant) about my new patient, Rosalynn. It read;
Hello Stephanie,
Here is everything you need to know about your patient Rosalynn Mareal. She is a 23 year old woman. She lived in an apartment in New York City with her 17 year old sister Roxane, her husband Jackson and her 4 month old daughter Gianna. Her brother died in a car accident when she was 18 along with her mom and dad. Her brother and her were very close. Jackson was very abusive to Gianna, Roxane and Rosalynn. It got to the point were Rosalynn had enough, so she killed Jackson by beating him with a gallon of milk. Rosalynn was excused for killing Jackson because of his previous actions against her and their family. Her mind had quickly gone insane after killing her husband but she did a great job of hiding it, until one night. She was on her way to visit her friend (he is also insane and they know it), Jason Bugly (or Jay Bug as she called him). When she arrived he was running around his house claiming that someone was chasing him with a gun, but there wasn't anyone there. So she "attacked" the saposed person that was chasing Jay. She was found by the police with him later that night walking the streets yelling random things and beating anyone she saw. She was taken into the station and given a mental test. After that they brought her straight here and put in room 408.
