Intro.(11 years ago)

Pale white curtains flap quietly in a soft breeze, the window is cracked, allowing the outside air to wisp inside the darkened room.

Not a single light is present within the four walls, a few toys litter the ground, a doll stares blankly ahead into the darkness and a worn teddy bear sits discarded by a small bed.

Blankets spill over the edge of the bed, as if trying to escape from the huddled resident, shivering slightly in the cool air of the room.

A floorboard creaks softly and the blankets shift around the floor, the girl stiffens silently, her eyes wide open as she stares at the wall unblinking.

Fear is fresh and bold in her pale blue eyes, her dark blonde hair plastered against her cheeks with sweat, a tremble rushes through her fragile body as a long shadow stretches across the wall.

A soft whimper escapes her pale lips as she clutches a small stuffed dog close to her chest, tears glisten within the corners of her eyes as the shadow moves slowly.

It ripples across the blackness of the wall, hunching slightly as something moves by it's side, the outline of a hand becomes visible and a hitched sob escapes the trembling girl's mouth as she squeezes her eyes closed.

The hand, a long black fingered thing, brushes wetly against her cheek, leaving behind a dark trail of decay, she cries out in pain and fear, hoping, praying that someone would come rescue her, like the princes in her books.

No one comes to save her.
