Waking up sucks on an ordinary day but not this one. Today is an exception to me; it's my seventeenth birthday and it's the official day and when I start trying to find my mate. I have been waiting for a long time. My mother always used to talk about her and dad falling in love when she had turned seventeen. I swooned over it. But enough talking about my mom and dad's story. Let's focus on mine.
I was rubbing my eyes and starting to wake up until my damn phone started ringing like a mad house.
"Hello?" I said in my groggy morning voice. No one ever even calls except Roni, Akemis and my parents.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR SCAR HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!"
"Thanks Roni but thank God I put you on speaker. I think you woke up everyone in the house." I said while I tried to stifle my giggle. HA that rhymed.
"Well open the door out here it's starting to get cold out here and I'm jumping like a mad woman."
"I'm coming. You're up so early it's only 6:15." I said while running down the stairs and hanging up my phone.
I was tackled by my sister younger Brie. She is getting stronger but she is so young. No just kidding I'm older by 2 years. She is so 'nice' but has one hell of a mouth and acts like a child by heart.
"WHY DID YOU TACKLE ME BRIE and why are you up? Don't answer that until I get the door," I questioned as I was getting up.
"Open the DAMN door already Scar! I'm fluffing dying out here!" Roni yelled once more.
I swung open the door only to be tackled once more. What the hell is with people tackling me? I'm not a dummy that people can tackle whenever they want. I was soon pulled into a bear hug by Roni who was saying "Hurry up and get ready. School starts at 8 and you are going to look fabulous for your fluffing mate, you hear?" She said as she ran upstairs into my room, and conveniently waking my parents up.
"Scarlet, did you let Roni have candy again? Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE I LOVE YOU!" Veronica is just like my mom. "I have something for you to do. Your father is sleeping... Do you wanna wake him up with the help of Br-"
"I HEARDTH THOU'S NAME" she yelled and tripped running up the stairs to my parents bedroom. I tried to contain my laughter but it failed in the end. I quickly followed after her into my parents room.
"FATHER WAKE UP NOW" Brie and I said this I'm guessing about 3 times until we heard a growl, coming from our father. We knew he wasn't the one to love morning so it was extra fun.
"Janet can you get my daughters off me right now or else."
"Or else what?" My mom had that come back so quickly. I knew what this meant but I don't want to ruin what will happen.
"OOOHHHHH! SHE SAID YOU GOT NO NIPPLES" Roni had just came into the room now I just waited to see what will happen now while trying to not die from laughter.
"Here comes the big dad wolf, now come here my lovely children and my gorgeous wife." I have a problem with puns as you could see. "You two Veronica. Now you guys got five seconds before I come and chase you."
We all got up from that nice hug and my mom lead all of us to the living room. We all hid behind the couch. This ended up making quite the noise. I love this my family all having fun even though it is now 6:30 and we are having a ball. I know this is my best birthday I had yet.
Roni is trying to control her laughing and so is Brie and my mother.
"What the heck?" I said in a whisper but only Brie heard me question what was happening but didn't say anything.
"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you," my father said and soon enough my entire family sang also. I was truly shocked and happy. So I ran from the hiding spot and hugged my father so tight.
"I love you guys come here" I had said gesturing my hand to them.
"Girls go get ready for school while I finish making Red's favorite breakfast." You guys are all wondering why my father calls me Red, well it's quite simple if you think of it. Scarlet is red and it's my father's favorite color. He is the ONLY one who gets to call me that.
I said thank you once more and I was on my way to my room with Roni hot on my tail. I really need to stop with wolf puns it's not even puny. It's official I have a problem with puns.
"Go head in the shower and I will have the perfect outfit and it will be gorgeous. Now shoo."
"Ok ok I'll be out in 20."
40 minutes later
"Scar come out I want to see, and we need to do your hair and mak-"
"No makeup unless it's mascara." I like not to have makeup it bothers me seeing 5 pounds of makeup on one girl. I shivered at the thought of it. I don't want so much on my face it gets so annoying.
"OMGGG YOU LOOK SMOKING HOT" my best friend said way too loud for my liking. In a couple months she will turn seventeen and find her mate and when she does I will be the happiest person knowing my 'sister' found a mate for herself.
"How much louder can you be? But thanks... Is it bad that I'm a little scared of rejection even though it is the lowest thing you can do in our world?" I'm sorta scared, but who could blame me no one wants to be rejected. But I am a big girl that can handle it.
"Lets not think of the bad Scar , come with me and get breakfast and we will finish with your hair." Roni said she never wanted to think of the bad and that's why I love her so much. She will always be my best-friend.
As we were walking I was hit with the best smell in the world: PANCAKES. I pushed aside Roni and ate the circled shaped pieces of heaven.
"Sorry Red there has been a very serious case among one of the pack members. Duties call, love you guys and have a good day" my father says while saying bye to all of us. He is the pack doctor for the Silver Moon pack. I'm used to it though; he has to fulfill his pack duties.
After he had left we were heading to the dreaded hell hole. I almost forgot Akemis is waiting for us at Satan's lair. Uh, I mean high school but I like 'hell hole and Satan's lair' and better.
