Prologue

"Pardon me?"

I laughed as my principal told me I had been selected to take care of the new kid when school started.

"That's a joke right? Very funny Mr. Hyndman. This is [Name] [Surname], I think you called the wrong student."

I chuckled under my breath at the thought of someone assigning me, of all people, to take care of someone. I mean I'm not like ugly or a loser or anything like that, I'm just...well, I'm a bitch.

"No Ms. [Surname] we selected you, I know you're not the most liked person among the students, but your grades have earned you this. A great student like you should set the perfect example for the new student."

Mr. Hyndman said seriously.

"And who might this new kid be?"

I asked hesitantly.

When he paused I knew something was up. I felt a bit sick for some odd reason, something didn't feel right.

He chuckled awkwardly before proceeding.

"Jeon Jungkook."
