Kailia's POV

Today Chy and I are going to the mall because there's literally nothing else to do. We have other friends but they are out of town for the summer since they have family members out of state. My family is distant from us like we rarely talk and Chy's family lives here in Texas but we saved up enough money to leave state during the summer but we're trying to decide where we're going. I got cut out of my thoughts when my little sister busted into my room.
"Hey Kailia, what you doing today?" she said getting under the covers with me "I'm going to the mall my lovee what about you ?" " I wanted to come with you but I don't wanna be in the way " As you can see my little sister is my weakness. Her name is Keonna. she's only 4 . "You won't be in the way . Ask mommy to get you ready and I'll be ready okay ?" "Okay you're the bestest of the best" she said giving me a forehead kiss. I love this girl like she's my own child . After she walked out I went into my bathroom in my room and did my hygiene things . I pulled my hair into a small bun because I'm just going to the mall . I got into the shower and let the water take over . When I got out the shower I went to my closet to pick something out to wear . *outfit in mm* when I was done I was headed out the door with Keonna holding my hand . We met Chy at the mall and we walked around holding small talk . I noticed this guy at the mall watching me . I tried not to pay him any attention but he was just so cute . I stayed on my phone so it wouldn't be awkward but Keonna snapped me out my thoughts "Kailia I have to use the rest room . " " ohh baby why did you go before we left the house" I said looking around for a rest room. I know how she feels she probably didn't have to go . When she's around a lot of people it makes her nervous. "I'll take her girl" Chyenne said "just order the food" with that she walked off. I walk towards the food court not seeing the guy anymore. When I got to the food court I ordered everyone Chinese , when I got the food I turned around & was standing eye to eye with the guy . He made me nervous because as I said once before he was so cute . No guy made me feel this way . "You're beautiful" he said almost staring into my eyes with his deep voice I got choked up on my words . I couldn't look away . I never felt this way " Oh thanks" I said gasping happy to finally get something out. "You're welcome" he said grabbing the tray I guess trying to help me out. "Thanks for that " I said sitting at a table. When I sat down I felt a relief like I've been standing for years because my knees were so weak . "You from here ?" he said starting conversation "Yes, are you ?" "Yeah , I'm from South Dallas" "Ohh cool" you can tell he was a thug by his tattoos and the way he sagged everything about him . but i didn't care he gave me a feeling I never had. "We should chill sometimes if that's fine with you" he said grabbing my hand. Once again I got choked on my words. "Y-you don't even know my n-name" I forcefully got out "Well what's your name beautiful ?" "It's Kailia" "Well Ms.Kailia my name is Jay." "Hey Jay" I said smiling . He pulled his phone out "Can I have your number ?" "Yeah" I grabbed his phone and put my number in it.  That's when Chy and Keonna came back "Kailia I'm back , I missed you and Chyenne was nice to me" " I missed you too Muffin" I said while holding Keonna in my lap. I looked back at Jay "I'll text you Ms.Kailia" he said winking at me "Okay".
"Who was that ?" Chy said with a big grin on her face "Girl !!! His name is Jay he just walked up to me . I almost suffocated he had me weak man!!" "Girl what ? a guy ? had you weak ? what's going on ?" she said rubbing my forehead. "Stop" I said swatting her hand away "I know not to let my guard down ! " . We all are and were about to go back home because Keonna was exhausted and so were we. I couldn't have her out late anyways . I got home and layed down and waited for Jay to text me but time caught up with me and I was out like a light .
