After returning from a mission with Natsu and the others, Lucy went back to Fairy Tail and sat at the bar in front of Mirajane where she was drying glass cups with a small piece of dry cloth.
"Mira..." Lucy complained with a frown.
"What's wrong Lucy?" she asked.
"I don't have enough money for my rent; I'm about 3,000J short!" she whined to Mirajane.
"But I thought that the pay for your last job with Natsu and the others was more than enough for the rest of your rent, what happened?" Mira asked.
"It was more than enough! But like always, I had to use the payment from the job to pay for all the damages that the others -mostly Natsu though- had caused while completing the job. Why can't Natsu learn NOT to cause damage to other's property?" Lucy asked Mira.
"Maybe you should go on another job that doesn't have to do with fighting?" Mira
"Is there an-" Lucy was stopped mid-sentence when Natsu and Happy came in the guild loudly.
"I'm starving! Let's get something to eat Happy!" Natsu exclaimed.
"Aye Sir!" Happy replied happily. The two then walked -well Natsu was walking since Happy was flying- towards the bar where Lucy and Mira were talking.
"Hey Lucy, why do you look so down? It's not like you," Natsu told Lucy.
"Ugh..." Lucy replied sadly as she dropped her head onto her arms that were on the counter.
"What's up with her?" Natsu asked Mira with a confused look on her face.
"She doesn't' have enough money for her rent."
"Again, then why not we just go on a job?" Natsu offered.
"You wib bust brak ebreyting," Lucy replied with muffled sounds.
"Huh?" Natsu asked VERY confused.
"'You will just break everything' is what she said," Mira translated for him.
"What are you talking about?" Natsu asked obliviously. When he said that, Lucy picked up her head angrily and almost slapped him but decided against it.
"Are you an idiot or something?! You ALWAYS break everything!" she yelled at him. Everyone in the guild just looked at Lucy as she stomped away from the guild angrily.
-Outside the Guild-
I knew Natsu was dumb, but I didn't know he was this much of an idiot! What is with him?! Does he not realize that whenever we're on a mission, him and the others always break everything so we have to give all the money we earned to the town for the repairs?! Gosh is his head that thick that nothing can get through to him?! Lucy almost screamed in her head.
"Man, why the heck is he so oblivious and thick-headed?!" Lucy accidently screamed out loud. When she said that, all the people around her looked at her
strangely and whispered to themselves.
"What's wrong with her, is she alright?" one lady whispered to her friend that was walking away quietly.
'How embarrassing! Who yells loudly like that?! Man am I so embarrassed right now!' She thought as her cheeks turned a bright reddish-pink color.
'But really, is he THAT oblivious?! He's probably so oblivious that he doesn't notice how much I really lik- no no NO! I can NOT finish that sentence. I don't like him. How can I like him? He's oblivious, thick-headed, reckless... I'm sure I don't like him... right?' She asked herself as she shook her head quickly and her cheeks changed from a light pink color to a BRIGHT red color.
