Erza held up her umbrella as she walked silently next to Kagura.

The Vermillions used to live in Violet, Lictenber where it was really hot all the time, so the climate in Magnolia, Fiore, was huge change. Magnolia was slightly smaller then Violet so they would have a better chance for business in the Fairy Tail Bakery. Erza chuckled lightly. Who even names a bakery "Fairy Tail" spelled with "t-a-i-l"? Mavis and Zeref were weird, but she loved them.

Erza looked down at Kagura. She was going into 9th grade at Magnolia High, while Erza was going into 10th. Hopefully they would both get a good set of friends. Erza loved her younger sister, more than anything in the world. Well, she loved her parents just as much.

Erza splashed through a puddle getting her converse wet.

"Haha," Kagura laughed mockingly, and stuck out her tongue. Erza smirked. This was a challenge.

She continued on walking normally, but not for long. There was a giant puddle ahead. Just a few more steps. She would make it, and kick as much water as she could onto Kagura's legs. However, a similar thought was running through Kagura's mind. Just a few more steps. Finally, they approached the puddle.

Kagura jumped and splashed water everywhere. Her plan backfired as she ended up dropping her umbrella, and having rain pour down on her. Erza saw this as the perfect opening. She swung her foot forward and splashed even more water on Kagura. Kagura jumped and splashed Erza again.

After their little water fight, the two girls both broke into cheery laughing. Erza closed her umbrella and welcomed the rain while walking beside her younger sister. After some time, they arrived at school and split ways.

"Meet me right at this tree after school kay?!!" Erza called out.

"Got it!" Kagura responded waving, and jogged to her first period classroom.

"Okay, now English is in the 300 hall. I guess I'll ask someone." Erza mumbled to herself. She stopped the closest person and asked.

"300? Oh, is just up this pathway and to the right. You can see it from here." The girl said and pointed to a large building not to far away. She gave Erza a small weird look but didn't say anything else.

"Thank you, I'll be going now." Erza nodded and started down the path. She took this short time to admire her new school. It was certainly very beautiful. There were trees with purple flowers along both sides of the cement. And anywhere there wasn't a walk way, there was grass, or a flower bed. It was amazing how much Magnolia High put into appearacnce.

Erza looked forward again and barely dodged someone running. She turned to see where they were going.

"Sorry!" They yelled without looking back.

'They must be in a rush,' Erza thought, and continued her way. She finally approached the 300 hall and walked up the three steps. English was in room #308 so all she had to do now was wander around the hall until she found the room. The bell rang, loud and clear. Erza brought her wrist up to check her watch. She now had five minutes to get to class. Everything was going smoothly, until the hallway doors banged open. Kids swarmed in, pushing and shoving, not caring about personal space. Erza was swept along in one direction until students came from the other side too. She ended up in the middle of all the chaos, and decided waiting for everyone to pass would be the best thing to do.

About 2 minutes passed and most the kids cleared up. Erza collected herself and found room 305, 306, 307, and finally 308. She slipped into class with a few minutes to spare. Kids were hanging around the back, talking, giggling, yelling, and doing teenagery stuff. Erza made her way to the teacher who was at his desk in the back corner. He looked up from his sophisticated looking paper work when the girl cleared her throat.

"Umm, I'm the new kid, Erza Scarlet. I think this is my first class. Are you Mr. Guildarts?" Erza questioned while looking at her schedule paper she had printed out at home. The man took off his glasses and ran a hand through his hair.

"Yeah, that's me. Welcome to English." He sighed. Erza frowned.

"You don't like Enlgish?"

"Nah, its just that I have these two idiots this year," He said while pointing at a man who was in the process of unbuttoning his shirt and another man who was half yelling and half laughing at him.

"The sheer amount of stupidity that comes out of their mouths is overwhelming." He rolled his eyes. Erza giggled lightly. This guy was funny already.

"So I'll introduce you in a minute when class starts. You can sit where ever." Mr. Guildarts went on. Erza glanced at all the seats. One near the window would be the best but they all seemed already taken. Next thing she would settle for was the back row. There was an empty seat in the middle of the back row so Erza went for it. The bell finally rang so everyone rushed for their seats. A blue haired girl sat next to Erza and furiously stared at someone ahead of them. A bland-looking guy sat on the other side of Erza.

Once everyone was semi-settled down, Erza was called up.

"Guys, hush. This is Erza... Scarlet, was it?" he looked at Erza who nodded.

"Yeah, well, she is your new classmate. Treat her with respect. That's all."

"WAIT, is your last name Scarlet because of your hair?" A boy yelled with his hand up. It was the one who ran past earlier, and who Mr. Guildarts was unhappy to have.

"Tommy..shut the hell up." Mr. Guildarts exclaimed.

"It's Natsu, old man."

"I'm not playing these games!" Mr. Guildarts continued. The boy leaned over to the other boy next to him and whispered,

"What games??"

"How should I know??" The other boy responded. Nearly the whole class facepalmed. Erza spoke up.

"Yes, this name actually was given to me because of my hair." She twirled one of her locks on her finger.

"But oddly enough, I forgot who it was that named me." More students gave her weird looks. The boy, Natsu, raised his hand again.

"Also, why are you soaking wet?" He asked, which earned a few giggles.

"Yes, I was wondering that too, Erza." Mr. Guildarts chimed in. Erza immediately blushed, and tried to think of an excuse. She had forgotten about that. So that was why some people looked at her strangely.

"Uhh, yeah, a bus drove by and drenched me." Erza stated pretty hesitantly. She had even forgotten she was wet. She walked back to her seat as naturally as possible as Mr. Guildarts directed the attention back to him.
