Warrior or Girl?? (Novel) **RE-WRITE**

Chapter one: How it all Began

Being abandoned by you're parents is difficult, especially when its to complete strangers that plan on using you for experiments for their own fun and excitement. That, my friends, is exactly what happened to me when i was younger. I was more or less still an toddler but that didn't matter to them apparently. When i was given to this stranger, most the things that he gave me wasn't food or water, he mainly gave me syrums and "potions" to drink. I found that out because at the age of six, he forgot to lock my 'Prison' door and my curiosity took over. Weird thing is tho, after each and every drink he gave me, i would forget what happened after that and wake up wanting to throw up, sometimes actually doing so. There were ones of so many different colors and tastes: blue being an carrot like taste, red being an tomato like taste, and purple being an mint candy like taste. The only color, that i couldn't explain the taste too, was the green one and i don't even know why.

When i did get out of my place that i called an 'Prison', I didn't even know where i was going. I was just walking around, what seemed like circles, and following my instincts which obviously led to me finding an lab of some sorts. He, the "scientist", was in there of course so i had to stay hidden. From where i was and what i could see, it wasn't a good place to be in. There were many different body parts in jars, and lots of sharp tools. This place literally made me sick to my stomach, seeing all the jars that had some human and some animal organs in it, and seeing some of the tools stained with blood. Not to mention i saw him putting many different chemicals, including anesthesia into chemistry tubes and afterwards putting them into small bottles that i instantly remember because they were the bottles that i drank from.

A shiver ran down my body as i saw that and i slowly backed up, not really wanting to see anything else. While backing up though, i knocked over an box, creating a huge noise that made my heartbeat increase and my Adrenalin start to kick in. I quickly looked over to the man to see that he was staring at me. Not really watching where i was going, i began to run that instant, getting away from this place and away from the man, being chased by the man and other scientists. I honestly felt like i had been running for hours because when running, i never paid any attention to where i was going, let alone who i knocked over and tripped. All of the scientists running after me, including the one who fed me the syrums, all looked like they were about to completely topple over and pass out. This got me to thinking that i might have a actual chance of escape, but at that moment there were more scientists that were joining the chase, and knowing that they hadn't been running as much as the others, they could catch up. This made me use the rest of my strength left in my body and run towards the endless forest in front of me.

Running for a while on the last bit of full energy i had, not paying attention to what was in front of me, i suddenly ran into someone. Falling on my butt, i quickly stood up and looked back at the people who were chasing me. I saw that they were gone but i could still hear their voices from an distance. I looked back at the person that i ran into. They were female and seemed to be around my age, maybe even one or two years older then me. She had looked at me with wide eyes before grabbing my hand, forcing me to run further into the woods. "Being led into the woods by an complete stranger?? Where are we even going?" I started to think to myself but it didn't really matter at this point because i needed to get away from the people who were trying to now attempt on tracking me down. We continued to run faster, me feeling as though we were running faster then an normal human running speed, we continued to race through the woods that seemed to be like an maze. A maze that she knew they ways of getting in and out of.

After an while of running, we suddenly stopped making it so i almost ran into her an second time. I tried to catch my breath, soon to realize that i didn't really need to and quickly looked at her as she turned to face me. "We haven't much time...Kagome, you need to keep running and don't stop..." She spoke finally with an terrified expression on her face. Before i could ask her any questions, she turned and started to run the direction we just came from, towards the voices of the scientists who where looking for me. Realizing that she left me on my own now, I quickly turned back around and started running the opposite way, away from the voices, all while having many questions pop up in my head. "Why was she helping me? How did she know my name? Who was she?..." I thought to myself while continuing to run and not looking back, no matter how badly i wanted to i forced myself to keep going.

I ran quickly away, running faster then i thought i could ever run, getting some scratches and bruises while doing so. I winced in pain, only to realize that they went away quickly, and the pain that i had when running wasn't there anymore. It was excitement that replaced that feeling but not knowing how much energy i had left in me, i continued to run. Not long after that, after feeling the rush of excitement from running, my head began to throb in intense pain and my breathing began to become heavy. Before long i had fallen to the ground and everything went black...I was completely out cold.

Without knowing the exact amount of time that i had been out cold, i slowly woke up opening my eyes some. My head was throbbing in pain, the same pain that i felt before i passed out. Opening my eyes some more and sitting up some, my eye sight being blurry, i looked around at where i was. After a couple times of blinking my eyes, trying to get rid of the blurriness of my eyes, i was finally able to look at my surroundings. I looked in front of me and saw two dark, huge wolves in front of me, one being male and the other a female. Trying not to wake them up, i slowly moved to stand up, failing at not waking them up for they both raised their head and looked at me. I nervously smiled and studied them, while frozen in place so they wouldn't attack me. The female wolf was skinny but looked as though she was stronger then, what i assumed to be Alfa-wolf, or the male. The male wolf was an bit bigger and looked strong as well but not as strong at the female. The color of their fur was dark brown with some white mixed in, their eyes being a crystal blue color.

I put a hand on my head, since it was still throbbing in pain and realized that I, a six year old girl, had wolf ears. My eyes widened and i stood up quickly in panic. I must admit that they were soft and smooth but why on earth would i have wolf ears? Why me of all people?! My heart started to beat quickly and i began shaking some, backing up from the two wolves in front of me towards the wall of the cave like area. Something touched me from behind which made me look back and panic even more as i saw that i also had a wolves tail, not only that but when looking back at my surroundings, i finally realized that i had been sleeping with not only two wolves, but their whole pack!

While standing there, trying to calm down my shaking body, i started to listen around and heard someone talking....Or i thought it was someone. I looked around to search for the owner of the voice, or voices and saw that it was the original two wolves that were in front of me. I couldn't hear the exact words that they were saying but after an while they walked up to me with wagging tails. "Are you doing alright?...You don't seem so well...for an human anyways..." The female wolf growled and replied to the male that just spoke, "Well it isn't her fault that she's an human so leave her alone.."

My eyes went even widen then they were before, so wide that i thought my eyes were going to pop out of my head. I slowly started to walk to the exit of the cave that i was in, careful not to wake the other wolves or startle the two that were staring at me. 'What the hell was happening to me?...' I began to think as i exited the cave, stopping for a mere second before running to the river that was close by. I kneeled down by the running water and began to splash my face, getting myself completely soaked, all while trying to "wake up". 'Wake up...Wake up...Wake up!!!' I thought to myself while thinking all of this was just part of an dream. After an while i stopped and realized that this....a girl with wolf ears and a tail, living with an pack of wolves, and able to communicate to them...this is who i am now...
