Never - 1

"Hurry up Mary-Anne!" My mother screams up the stairs.

"I'm coming Ma!" I return, just as loud.

"Sarah is already here, stealing biscuits from my pantry!" She tells me. I chuckle.

Sarah is my best friend. I love her like a sister and have since we met in grade two. We both grew up in Melbourne, but since she moved to Bendigo, we haven't seen a lot of each other.

"Mary-Anne Louise Smith, get your ass down here now!" I hear Sarah yell in her perfect voice. She tried out for X-Factor. I should ask her how it went.

I stuff the rest of my junk into my bag and sprint down the stairs with my duffel bag and teddy, Mr. Smithers. Sarah and my mother both agree that he (Mr. Smithers, of course!) is not good for me but he is the only part that I have of my father. My dad left for a job interview when I was three and never returned. Although I don't actually know what happened to him, I never ask because he was the love of my mother's life, so it's a touchy subject.

I skip the last two stairs and run into Sarah's arms, giving her the biggest hug ever known to mankind.

This was written by me. Not moi. We are two different people.

Anyway, we are both planning our graduation (primary school). I know, I know, we're young but we don't care.
