Chapter Three:Scar and Eyes

(Elijah's P.O.V)

I woke up the next morning feeling weird. My body was sore, my head hurt and my eyes burned when I opened the curtains to let in light. I nearly forgot that today was Tuesday,  but for some reason the school was closed. Then I turned on the news and understood why."Mika Quill was found murdered this morning in ally off of...." the News reporter's words faded out as I realized that Mika, the one who tormented me for years, was dead. But how? I tuned back in,"Her body was covered with severe laceration all over her body..." I stood up as my dad walked in,"Hey, baby, whatcha watchen'?" I nearly screamed for help, but he had rushed over befor I could say anything and covered my mouth,"Shh, no. Don't scream. 'Cause if you do-" he pulled his switch blade out.

(Unknown's P.O.V)

The night before, Splender had read my mind and forced us to tell him all we knew about Elijah. He wanted to meet her in person, but we had to wait. Her father was about to kill her if she said anything to anyone. We would have saved her had school not have been called off from our mistake last night. Damnit! We would have to wait a whole day before we could take her away. We know alot about Elijah. We've been watching her for a few months. And we've wanted her, but had to wait until we could properly be introduced. We felt it was better for her to know Arron before she knew all of us. To become more reliant on us whenever she needed us. And we are going to save her. One way. Or another.

(Elijah's P.O.V)

Late that night, I locked myself in my room. My dad was silent downstairs, probably dosing the drugs he was going to use on me tonight. I sat at my window, crying silently. I know this is going to sound stupid, but I was waiting for an angel, good or bad, to come down and take me away from this hell. But no luck. My dad came up the stairs as quietly as he could and tried my door. Soon, it turned into pounding and then he got in."Eli, what did I tell you about locking your door?" He spoke with a demented voice,"What if someone was to hurt you? And I couldn't get in?!" He burst in and walked quickly tward me as I screamed.

(Unknown's P.O.V)

We all heard her scream. We ran and climed as fast as we could up the side of her house; when we reached her window, we nearly fell. Her own father was drugging her! We quickly dived into her room and knocked Elijah's father father off of her. She fell off the bed as we fought with him on the floor. We managed to daze him and turned to her, she was shivering on the floor like the night before. We gathered her in our arms and jumped out the window, her father yelled in anger as we disappeared into the woods.

We ran to an unowned part of the woods, no-one came out here because of the density of the trees. We set her down and kneeled to look her in the eye.

(Elijah's P.O.V)

I looked at his mask. It was a dull sand color with no features exept for eyes with two lines coming a short way down."We're sorry we could not get to you sooner. Are you alright?" His voice sounded like five different men saying the same words in sync,"I'm fine. Thank you for saving me." He nodded. I wanted to know who it was. I reached out slowly and unhooked his mask. I softly gasped when I saw,"Arron?" I could see his face more clearly. He had a flowering scar next to his left eye and both eyes looked as if he had cataracts clouding his whole eye,"Can you see?" I asked quietly,"At night, yes. But in the day-" "Your blind." He nodded again,"I'm sorry that your first friend turned out to be me. I'll understand if you want nothing to do with me." I shook my head,"I wouldn't abandon a friend."
