Cassie POV
"The cops are on to us." He said towards me, packing his backpack ready.
"What how? I thought we were well hidden?" I asked my boyfriend Brayden.
We stayed in a cabin in the woods far away from town. We lived here for 2 months now since he commited the crime. I know I should go to the cops and tell them but I can't - couldn't and won't. He trusted me and I trusted him. He would never lie to me about this sort of stuff and I believed him and I would do anything to be with him, even hiding.
Brayden walked towards the door. "I thought the same but the cops are near." He said and opened the door.
I grabbed my bag and walked towards him, "How'd you know? I don't hear any sirens." I frowned.
"Cass just trust me, I know they are near and we stayed her for far too long. We need to run." he explained looking out the door.
I nodded, "Right behind you. Like always." I smiled and nudges his arm.
Brayden looked back at me and smiled back. He nodded at me and ran out out the door in the woods. I followed right behind him.
"Hurry!"
I could hear the police sirens behind me. I know they were at the cabin looking for us and started to follow our trail.
Pushing the branches away from me, I kept running for my life straight forward behind Brayden, who glanced a few times behind him to see if I was still following him.
We ran out of the woods into a clearing. It was an open field and further down was another cabin. The open field where the cabin was surrounded by barbed wire.
I kept running until I stopped infront of the wire. I bit my lip; this type of wire brought back bad memories and I had to go through it. I could easily squeeze myself between the barbed wires but I was scared. I looked up infront of me. I couldn't see Brayden anywere. He left without me.
"Freeze!"
I heard suddenly behind me. I litterly froze and was shocked.
The cops found me.
"On your knees and put your hand on your head! Slowly!"
I did what they said and let myself fall on my knees on the ground with my hands on my head.
One of the cops frisked me first when he grabbed my wrists and handcuffed me.
"Now stand up, slowly." the cop said.
I stood up slowly, like he commanded.
Sudden I felt all the emotions hit me and I began to struggle.
"LET ME GO! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" I yelled and tried to struggle the cop hands off of my arms. But the cops held me firmly into their grasps and led me to the car not far from here.
"You can tell us everyting in the Police station but for now stay silent or it can used against you."
I struggled some more, "GET OFF ME!" but the more I struggled the more their hands were hurting my arms. When arriving at the car they pushed me inside.
"Watch your head." One of the officers said and closed the door.
"Fuck off." I whispered glaring at him when he goes to the passengers seat while the other cop went to the other side of the car.
They started the engine and I looked at the open field. Nothing. No sign of him. No movement.
He left me.
