Phil entered Dan's room with a mug full of coffee in his hand. Preparing him for their big day today.

Him and Phil have to go into London to rehearse their American tour, along with a meeting to release some tour dates.

They also both like to watch anime while eating breakfast in the mornings.  Proactive mornings are apparently hard getting use to.

Whilst Phil was making us breakfast, Dan went to the bathroom to freshen up.

Entering  the bathroom, jumping at the sudden coldness on the floor tiles, quickly running upstairs to put socks on and then back down.

He was in the middle of  brushing his teeth when there was a knock on the door. He look down at the door; confused.

He didn't order anything online in the last couple of weeks. Nor expecting anyone, especially at this hour in the morning. Why didn't they ring the doorbell?

'Phil! Did you order something online?'

'No!'

Remembering that he still have toothpaste on his lips, he quickly finishing off brushing his teeth and run to the door. No one was there.

He look to his left to see if he could catch anyone running down the stairs. But he didn't see anyone.

He look down and see a unfamiliar looking book with a sticky note on it. He grabbed the book and took it inside. Into the kitchen where Phil is standing with his mug of coffee.

'Phil, are you sure you didn't order anything online?'

'I'm sure, Dan, Why?'

'There was a book lying outside our door, thought you ordered something then forgot about it'

'No. There's a sticky note on it. Read that and see who it might be from'

He look down the sticky note with his groggy eyes, trying to focus on the words.  But couldn't read the writing since it was small.

I accept your apology.

Since you enjoyed Eleanor & Park. I thought you might like this book.

I haven't red it yet so no spoilers.

P.S it's yours to keep.

-Eleanor

So that's her name. Eleanor.  A beautiful name for a beautiful girl. It suits her. Dan thought.

'Is that the new girl who moved in next door?' Phil asked, as he took the book out of my hands.

'Must be, why would she do this?'

'I dunno.. Look, Dan, we don't have a lot of time now. We need to get into London for our rehearsals.' Phil then continued on making them breakfast. Phil then walked out and into the living room, Dan could hear anime music in the background as he stood in the kitchen. Fiddling the book.

I'll read it later.

3:10pm

Dan and Phil finished with their rehearsals and they are completely starving. They both thought to save their money and make something when they get home.

When they reached to their apartment door, Dan could hear music from their neighbors apartment. He stood closely at his neighbors door. Ear touching the door.

It's not music coming from a speaker, it's coming from a guitar. He heard that song before. Wonderwall by Oasis.

Eleanor is playing guitar. Playing Wonderwall.

Dan didn't hear any singing. Just the strummed chords.

She's not singing? He thought, Can't she sing?

Phil stared questioningly at Dan's actions but decided not to say anything. He entered his apartment.

Dan heard Eleanor stop playing guitar. He was slightly disappointed. He wanted to hear more.

He stood their for almost a minute before giving up and going into his apartment. He shut the door behind him and stared into space.

Why am I so obsessed over her lately? I just met the girl.

Dan slowly made his way upstairs and into the hallway. He stopped in front of the living room door.

'Dan?' Phil emerging out from the kitchen. 'Are you okay? You seem... off'

'I don't know, Phil, I don't know'

Dan didn't have an answer to his question. Which, he thought, what is even the question?

Dan wanted to know more, he wants to investigate, to dig deeper. He wants to know more about the girl. About Eleanor.

'I'm going to read in my room. To... think about.. things' Dan said as he slowly walking into his room. Spotting the book on his bed. He shut the door and sat on his bed. Staring at the book cover.

This looks interesting; nerdy girl, tall, lanky boy and it appears to be a gay ship
