Hey everyone!

I have decided to write a fanfiction.

This is a sad story, and has violence.

Hope you like it and comment!

P.s. this first part is Cailtin's intro, and then next part will be Harry's!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Another day goes by.

Another day goes by when I don't know if I have a future.

Lifes hard when you don't see daylight.

It's hard when you can escape your own world.

You might say, these aren't real problems.

Think of the children in bad homes and poverty.

am a child in a bad home.

Sure, it's not poverty.

Most of the time, it feels worse than poverty.

I feel selfish, but what can I do?

Say, oh well it'll end one day.

It won't.

It never will.

My name is Cailtin Tomas, and this is my story.

~~

I run down the streets of Hairton and scream in joy.

Sam is chasing me and I need to run.

My eyes scan the town for any good hiding spots, and I see an alleyway.

I look over my shoulder, and can't see Sam anywhere, so I make a sharp turn into the dark lane.

My back presses against the wall, and my giggles are trying to push their way out of my mouth, and suddenly I feel someone clamp their hand over my mouth and eyes.

I scream and flail around, trying to hit the stranger.

I feel my legs being pulled away from the ground and suddenly the figure is carrying me.

"MMmbhhhah", comes out of my mouth when I try to speak, and the stranger laughs.

But I know that laugh.

"SMAahM" I yell and the person laughs again.

My older brother puts me on the ground and uncovers my eyes, and I glare at him.

"Don't do that again! I thought someone was gonna kill me!"

"Seriously? Kill? In Hairton. In broad daylight. In the middle of the street."

"It wasn't in the street actually! We were in a dark alleyway! Everybody knows that girls always get kidnapped in dark alleyway!"

"Then tell me again why you were in that dark alleyway?" He smirks.

"I, uh, was looking for.... the bin?"

"Sure. We have to get home, before Mum turns into a demon of wrath."

"Race you home then!"

I sprint away from Sam as he groans and laugh. Sam soon follows after me but doesn't catch up until we reach our street.

"I'm gonna win Samuel!" I yell into the wind.

"Never in a million years Caitpain!' He yells back.

I reach the front door, come to a stop and yell, "I WON!"

Sam strolls up behind me and rolls his eyes.

"Only because I let you Caitpain, your birthday is coming up and this is your present. Happy Birthday!" He says sarcasticly, sticking his hands out.

"Whatever SlowSam. Not my fault you can't take losing."

I stroll into the house and turn to face my older brother.

"Oh, and about that present comment?" You better not be serious."

"I'm more serious than my love for annoying you."

"Just get me a present."

I smell dinner and run to the kitchen.

"Oh Mum! I love pasta! Thanks, love you." I say as I grab my plate and run to the table.

Mum smiles. "You're welcome sweetie. Don't eat too fast okay? Don't want a repeat of last weeks coughing episode."

Sam snorts with laughter and I shoot him a death glare.

"Don't do that too fast sweetie, you might have a coughing episode!" He says, mimicing Mum.

Mum twacks him on the head when she sits down.

"Ha!" I yell and turn to focus on eating my pasta.

Mum shakes her head. "I swear you two behave like 7 and 11 year olds, when in reality you're 16 going on 17," she gestures to me, "and you're 20." She gestures to Sam.

I shrug. "Hey, I can't help it. Immature people like Sam influence my life."

Sam snorts and Mum rolls her eyes. "There you go again."

We eat our meal in comfortable silence for the rest of the time. When I'm done I scoot out my chair and yell, "Thanks Mum", dump my plate in the sink, and go to my room.

I flop on my bed and disturb our dog Acher.

"Hey boy" I say as I scratch him behind his ears, while he leans into me and sniffles.

I kiss the top of his head and grab my phone off my desk, unlocking it and scrolling through my texts.

Life is pretty easy here, but it's been different ever since Dad left.

Smiles turned to frowns, and laughs turned to tears and hearts turned broken.

But time has fixed us a little bit, but we're still bent out of shape.

It was so out of the blue.

My phone lights up and I grab it, seeing it's a text from my best friend Aubrey. She wrote, "Call me, I have news x"

That's not new. Aubrey's definition of 'news' involves anything from a new pair of shorts to Jason cheated on Julie in her latest favourite TV show.

I call her anyway, talking to her always makes me laugh.

She answers the phone straight away and mumbles a hi, and I know shes either checking FaceBook or Instagram.

"Well hello to you too" I say and laugh.

I can feel her smile through the phone. "Sorry, I'm chatting to everybody."

By everyone, she means Tyson, Sasha, Chloe and Connor.

That's our group of friends, we hang out all the time.

"Whats the news?"

"Oh, well I got this really cute top at Sandra's!"

"That's great Aubrey, anything else?"

"Nup."

"Well I'm gonna go then, night, love ya."

"Love ya too."

"Tell everyone I say hi."

"You know I will."

I hang up the phone and stroke Acher.

"Love you Acher." I say, and smile into his fur.

That's when I see a shadow outside my window.
