I knew you'll play a role in my life.
I saw something in you
That made me want to be close to you.
Until the day I learned
That you are already involved with someone else,
And it's a serious commitment.
I felt disappointed,
Thinking if I had known you first
I wouldn't be in this situation.
I decided to let go,
Not letting myself imagine a life with you.
And when I thought I am at peace,
Fate intervened.
We found ourselves
Always seeing each other.
This time we get to know a little of each other,
Making each day something to look forward to.
And when things are working just fine,
Destiny made another turn.
An evil witch worked her magic
And I couldn't fight her off.
I found myself away from you,
Missing those short happy moments we shared.
Though communication was still there,
It wasn't the same anymore.
Distance is really the monster
That killed what should have been
The wonderful thing between us.
Or maybe
What we had was something short-lived
And not worth a serious thought.
I don't regret knowing you
