December 2nd, dad has 2 weeks.
To tell you the truth, the company didn't seem to like the idea for how we wanted to jump out of the hot air balloon. But after a very long explanation they came round to the idea of it and said we would be able to do it that day. I was nervous but who wouldn't be, but i had George with me and everything was better with him. The basket we were in was large, and the balloon itself we even bigger. It had blue and violet stripes with white daisies dotted on it. All i could think was how dad would have loved it.
Disturbing me in deep thought, the instructor spoke "Picture" he said in a loud tone whilst ushering me and George in front of the hot air balloon. George wrapped his arm around me and held me close, "There we go beautiful, now hop in and get ready!" the over friendly instructor said as handing me back my phone.
It wasn't until we were up in the air that i really started to wish dad was here, and because he wasn't i was going to take tons of photos and videos to show him. This was my one last time to make him proud. After being in flight for around 20 minutes we reached the beach, it was full of people from town who had found out what i was doing, it was worse doing this with no one watching, now with 1,000 people, i couldn't help but kind of love it. I liked being the star of the show, but with what i was doing i'm sure not everyone will approve.
The instructor found the right spot and talked us through what we had to do, 'When i say jump, you jump'. It must have gone through my head about 100 times before i realised he was saying it for real and i was jumping 100 foot into the ocean.
I don't know how long it took to fall but i loved every second of it, the people cheering, slapping. It was amazing. The water was ice cold when we when landed in it, but i couldn't help but want to stay in it. George swam up to me and told me how he was thrilled that i had made him do this.
After getting back to the hospital, i sat and wrote everything down in a massive book, it was mine and dads book of everything we had done together, there were 10 pages left one for each thing on the list "1 down, 9 to go." i say looking up at George, "so what's next?" I look down at the list
