Darcy
By the end of the letter I was stuttering.
"W-what does this me-mean? Uncle Jonah?" I asked, calling him by his nickname, pleading for answers.
"Ethan, please go to your room." My aunt said sternly. As Ethan left, I returned to my chair.
"Darcy" my uncle said, he looked concerned " There is something we didn't tell you about your parents"
"What? What is it?" I pleaded again.
"Look Darcy, your parents...they...they were wizards." My aunt said calmly, but there was a hint of worry in her voice.
I couldn't believe it at all. But I had to. This explained many things, this is why I could make things move, this is why...
"Are you wizards too?" I asked.
"Yes, yes we are" my uncle said.
"And uncle Kingsley?" I was curious of why he never visited us, he would write to us, but when I asked about him, aunt and uncle would respond in the same way:
Oh it's just that he lives too far away...
"Yes. He is a wizard too" they answered.
Everything. Made. Sense. Now.
"Oh my God" I whispered. "I am a wizard!!!" I said happily.
The tense atmosphere escaped the room and everyone was smiling again.
"Technically, your a witch." My cousin chimed in. We all turned to see him. He stood with a smile on his face. "Am I a wizard too?!"
"Ethan!! You know you shouldn't be eavesdropping!!" My aunt scolded. I could see my cousin flinch and frown.
"He needs to know too, Lucy" uncle Jonah said, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
She hesitated for a bit, then she smiled at him "Yes, yes... Sit down" she ordered.
"This might take some time, so get comfortable" uncle Jonah said while we sat down. "Let's see... Where do we begin?!... Ah yes! Hogwarts!!".
Oh my... This is the best birthday I've had in my life!....
