Alastair Bishop came when Camella Chung finally had everything to lose.

All her life she's been nothing but a failure, whether it be to her parents or professors, she was never the star of the show. Then things start taking a turn to the better when her online writing eventually gets her a deal with a great publishing house. Camella feels that maybe the universe wasn't so against her and her stars could possibly align on the right track.

But she knew, she knew in the way you know about a good melon, she knew that with her kind of luck, something was bound to happen.

Did she expect to enter the men's bathroom in her own book publishing party and end up witnessing something that might be the reason she takes her last breath? No, she most certainly didn't.

This is where Alastair comes in, an agent who prefers to be called a hitman since it's much more cooler, whose job was to kill a certain important someone only to stumble on his high school crush in the bathroom floor of the men's bathroom, drunk out of her mind while whining over a broken heart and a shitty boyfriend. His job came with one important rule, kill anyone who sees anything. He couldn't afford witnesses and drama, it'll only make his job harder.

But Alastair finds himself unable to pull the trigger, whether it was because of his past teenage feelings or because she was the only one to stand up for him back when he was a chubby boy, it didn't matter. Alastair Bishop hesitated for the first time in his life and opted for taking her away, even going to the lengths of taking her with him on missions and securing them a safe house.

However, the problem with entrusting someone who had tried to kill you with your entire existence is that nine times out of ten, you'll find yourself regretting that decision.

Lets face it, you did steal me. But you saved my life too. And somewhere in the middle, you showed me a place so different and beautiful, I can never get it out of my mind. And I can't get you out of there either. You're stuck in my brain like my own blood vessels.

I'm pretty excited for this book, I've always wanted to read a book with such plot but since no one wrote something similar to this, I figured I'd write it myself.

This book is under the category romance/humor but it also focuses on action and adventure as well. And just a fair warning, this book will get bloody and angsty and dark at times so don't be surprised (some characters will be very dark). You're free to envision the characters as you like, the cast is just how I imagine them (scroll to the next chapter for the cast and the aesthetics) but one thing is for sure, Alastair is a black man and Camella is with no doubt a Korean-American.
